It would have been like any other Tuesday morning when British product engineer Nick Marson boarded his flight from London Gatwick to Houston on a warm September's day. The divorcee, then 52, had a busy business trip planned in Texas while unbeknownst to him his soon-be-wife from across the Atlantic was sitting aboard the same plane as him.Diane Kirschke, who was at the other end of Continental Airways' flight five, had just finished a trip to see her son in England and was looking forward to returning to her home. After four hours in the air, the intercom crackled to life and a tight-lipped pilot shared some peculiar news.

That is the Canada I remember with such fondness as I grew to adulthood. They helped out magnificently, and I always appreciated them for this help. Now the current Canada regime, I do not look at favorably. Until they come to their senses and dump the Sparkle Socks regime, I just cannot feel anything kind to them anymore. I will look to the Canada of old for that.

Strange as it may sound...this has been turned into a Hit Musical.."Come from Away" (an old highschool friend from Texas is one of the Investors, and my son and I were guests on the night where the actual people portrayed were flown in from Gander to see the show) My son liked it better than "Hamilton",

I made several trips across the Atlantic back in the 1950s, and Gander was a standard refueling stop/ NY to Gander, then to Keflavik, Iceland, then to prestwick, Scotland and on to London, Paris, or Frankfurt. The USAF used DC 6, propeller driven four engine aircraft, which carried about 80 people plus crew. Landings at Keflavik were sometimes white knuckle specials, in heavy winds. Nice love story.

My older sister was flying back from Germany. Her plane was diverted to Gander. She was there 3 days waiting to get home back in Florid. She had nothing but praise for the people of Gander. She said the entire town banded together to take care of the stranded passengers.

It’s Christmas. If you are living in the United States under a Democratic president, that doesn’t mean wishing the American people ‘Merry Christmas.’ Or messages about the sacred Christian holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus. What it means are hyper-politicized messages that seek to hijack the holiday and put it in the service of the left’s radical agenda. In 2021, that means dragging out the Covid pandemic and bullying Americans into getting a “booster.”A “booster,” in case one hasn’t noticed, is a tacit admission of failure. It is a silent concession that the “vaccines” that were once touted as “100% safe and effective” have failed to stop infections and
