The oldest teenager charged with the carjacking of Democrat Representative Mary Gay Scanlon was out on bond at the time of the crime on Wednesday from stealing another car. Josiah Brown, 19, is facing federal charges for the carjacking in Philadelphia. He already has a string of other arrests. Along with Brown, four other teens were involved in the carjacking raning from ages 13-16–all of whom were released back to their parents.(Snip)Both women supported police reform policies last year following ignition of the Black Lives Matter movement. Scanlon and Lightford also co-sponsored bills in their respective offices to allow mental health specialists

Comments:

Ah, bLACK teens, contributing to society in their own special way. She could have called a whaaaaambulance after she got what she wanted, figuring as a Special Person in a "safe" area her policies would not affect her in any way.

With "prosecutors" who won't actually prosecute, who seek to get easy guilty pleas on far lesser charges, this sort of repeat violent criminal will become more and more common. Without a functioning justice system, the only workable security left for the average person is to be armed and skilled enough to provide the security that USED TO be provided by police, courts, prosecutors and jails.....but that system is massively dysfunctional and deeply racially biased towards excusing black criminals, and letting them off with little or no punishment....to harm another person.

This was an important case because a member of the ruling class was carjacked. So police pulled out all stops and solved the case in one day. As opposed to the lip service law enforcement effort applied when white working stiffs are carjacked. Big city police forces and federal agents are not your friends.

The police are your friends, if you're a dim lawmaker/politician. Otherwise, forget it. Scanlon is like Milano, while advocating defunding the police, they don't hesitate to call them when they're the victim, and the boys in blue come running. I imagine the LEO's all plan on being well paid, well fed private security when PD's are defunded and the SHTF!

More than 1,000 American passengers will spend Christmas Day stuck aboard a cruise ship after authorities in the western Mexico state of Jalisco blocked them from disembarking because 21 crew members have tested positive for COVID-19. The Holland America Line ship sailed off from San Diego on Sunday with stops in the Mexican resort cities of Los Cabos and Mazatlán before it arrived on the coast of Puerto Vallarta on Thursday at approximately 7.30am. The Jalisco state health department considered allowing each of the 1,035 passengers off the MS Koningsdam, which has at least 873 crew, as long as they turned in proof of negative COVID-19 tests,

Santa Claus is too white, too straight and too male for most young people in the UK today, according to a poll. The modern depiction of Father Christmas as an old white man with a big bushy beard who wears a red and white suit was made globally famous by Coca Cola’s adverts of the 1930s. A survey by YouGov has now found that 60 per cent of 18–24-year-olds in the UK think it is ‘acceptable’ for Santa to be gay. But 41 per cent across all age groups said it was not OK, including 17 per cent of lesbian, gay and bisexual respondents.

Washington—The U.S. will lift travel restrictions to eight southern African countries on New Year’s Eve, the White House announced Friday. The restrictions, imposed last month, were meant to blunt the spread of the COVID-19 omicron variant. The Nov. 29 ban barred nearly all non-U.S. citizens who had recently been in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique and Malawi. White House spokesman Kevin Munoz said on Twitter that the decision was recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Munoz said the temporary travel bans bought scientists necessary time to study the new virus variant and conclude that the current vaccinations are effective
