The sheriff for Los Angeles County spoke out Tuesday night on "Fox News @ Night," claiming the work of law enforcement officers in the state was being undermined by liberal policies by some district attorneys.
Fox News host Shannon Bream asked Sheriff Alex Villanueva to react to recent comments from San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, who criticized calls for crackdowns on recent crime spikes as "knee-jerk reactions," and claimed that "smash-and-grab" thefts in California were "not new."
"There’s nothing ‘knee-jerk’ about it. It’s just common sense," Villanueva said. "This person just does not get it and I’m sorry to hear that.

Longtime CNN producer John Griffin attempted to pay off witnesses, offered a woman $30,000 for a "mother daughter weekend with me," and told authorities that he was "ashamed" when he was arrested for allegedly abusing a 9-year-old girl and enticing other minors, U.S. Attorney for the District of Vermont Nikolas Kerest wrote in a motion for detention ahead of Griffin’s arraignment on Wednesday.
The prosecutor laid out the "substantial" evidence against Griffin in the motion, which asks the judge to hold Griffin in jail without bail while his case is pending.

An Alabama judge was removed from the bench for committing several substantial ethics violations, including referring to another judge as an "Uncle Tom," a derogatory term meant to describe a Black person who is overly allegiant to White people.
Jefferson County Judge Nakita Blocton, who is herself Black, "engaged in a pattern and practice of making inappropriate comments – for example, calling one judge ‘Uncle Tom" and another judge a ‘fat b****’ and calling an employee a heifer," according to the findings of a commission that filed a complaint against the judge for various ethics violations.

At least 16 U.S. cities have set new homicide records in 2021, according to local police departments.
It's a trend police departments have noted from East Coast to West, even as other violent crimes such as aggravated assault and non-violent crimes such as burglary decline in the same areas.
"It's definitely worse this year, for us at least," Rochester Police Department Public Information Officer Carlos Alvarado told Fox News Digital of the upstate New York city's homicide numbers for 2021. Rochester had seen a record 80 homicide deaths in 2021 as of Tuesday. The city's previous record was 69 in 1991, Alvarado said,

Let’s perform an experiment. Open up your favorite search engine (hopefully that’s the unwoke DuckDuckGo), pick a mainstream media outlet, and find a link to their website. Once on their homepage, spend a few seconds perusing the headlines and see if you can find any mention of the ongoing Ghislaine Maxwell Trial. And to be fair, we should pick at least three such outlets.
At the time of this writing, Wednesday evening on December 15, 2021 one such experiment yielded the following:
(1) ABC News: On the first screen we see, there are no mentions of the trial at all.

The National Football League's "Inspire Change" partners, which receive financial backing from the multibillion-dollar league, include multiple groups that have openly advocated for defunding the police, a Fox News Digital review of the program found.
Groups who have received funds as part of "Inspire Change," the NFL's social justice initiative, include the Vera Institute of Justice, the Oregon Justice Resource Center and the Community Justice Exchange. All three of those groups support defunding or abolishing the police, a review of their public statements shows.
While the NFL's general support of social justice causes is widely known,

Democratic mayors are raising eyebrows with their responses to the rising crime plaguing major cities like New York City, Chicago and Philadelphia.
The U.S. murder rate rose 30% between 2019 and 2020, according to FBI data – the largest annual increase on record, with Chicago topping the list. At least 12 major cities, including New York, have already set historical murder records in 2021. Robberies and assaults are also on the rise, and retailers in major cities across the country are reporting an uptick in organized smash-and-grab crimes during the busy holiday shopping season.

Sharing an article on how Scottish police are “logging rapists as women,” author J.K. Rowling managed to enrage the woke mob yet again on Sunday.
“Police have been criticised for saying they will record rapes by offenders with male genitalia as being committed by a woman if the attacker ‘identifies as a female,’” the Times UK report begins. “Police Scotland said that they would log rapes as being carried out by a woman if the accused person insists, even if they have not legally changed gender.”
Taking a jab at the logic, the “Harry Potter” author commented: “War is Peace.

Actor Jussie Smollett was found guilty of lying to police last week after he claimed he was the victim of a hate crime in 2019 and, of all things, a Subway sandwich was a key piece of evidence in the case against him, the former Chicago police superintendent said, according to reports.
Ex-Superintendent Eddie Johnson told NewsNationNow's "Morning in America" that Smollett left his home around 2 a.m. on the day he claimed to be attacked to buy the sandwich.
"OK, that’s fine," Johnson said, adding that morning was one of the coldest in Chicago that year and hardly anyone was on the street.

When you think of “LGBT authors,” you probably don’t think of Matt Walsh, one of the Daily Wire’s most conservative commentators.
But, according to Amazon’s rankings, that’s exactly what he is. Well, the #1 LGBT author, to be specific.
What happened? Was there a glitch in the Matrix? Nope. He recently released his children’s book, Johnny the Walrus, which is a satirical debate on the transgenderism epidemic sweeping America’s youth. It was so popular that it sold out in mere hours.
Since Amazon is the site doing the rankings, here’s the book’s Amazon description:

With a massive build of Russian troops near Ukraine’s border, Russia’s Vladimir Putin is indicating a willingness to risk a military conflict, but analysts say while the threat is serious, an invasion is not certain.
The threat of an invasion will be the central subject of President Biden’s video call with Putin on Tuesday. Biden is expected to warn of dire consequences should Russia follow through with a military offensive, while Putin is expected to reiterate his ultimatum that NATO should not allow Ukraine to join its military alliance.
The outcome of the video call could have major implications as Putin weighs the potential costs of a full-fledged invasion of Ukraine.
