A polling firm run by Democratic pollster Doug Schoen is flashing big warning signs to the Democrats not only as to the midterms but as to their political prospects for the future. The Democrats should listen to this because it shows that now their own voters are throwing them over as well. As Schoen and his partner Carly Cooperman note, their new survey shows the Democratic prospects are “significantly deteriorating” and that the party is in an “increasingly unelectable and unsustainable position.” What’s the reason for this, in the pollsters’ view? An Atlanta UPS delivery driver left a sweet message for a stranger and is receiving that kindness back in a way he never imagined.
Twenty-four-year-old Dallen Harrell was making a delivery not long ago in a Roswell neighborhood when he saw a house with a big stork lawn sign announcing that a boy had just been born, WSB-TV reported Thursday.
Harrell deposited the boxes and also left a heartfelt message on the family’s Nest security camera.

After spending much of Biden’s term in relative hiding, Kamala Harris has made a lot of news lately. Unfortunately for her, none of it has been good.
From blowing up on podcast hosts to claims that racism and sexism are driving her approval down, it’s been one conflict after another for the vice president. And to put it mildly, she’s handled none of it well. That’s probably why she’s doing an interview on CBS News this Sunday. When nothing else is working, get out in front of the bad news, I suppose.
And while most of the interview is under embargo for several more days, we are getting some leaked snippets.
Working at the White House is a high-stress job, no doubt. It’s also the kind of job that encourages burnout after a couple of years given the workload and pressures.
But Politico is reporting that there is a mass exodus of White House aides brewing, and it’s not entirely due to burnout.
The Politico report comes the same month in which an article detailing turmoil and high turnover in Vice President Kamala Harris’s office appeared.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is altering the rules for when health workers who test positive for COVID-19 can return to the job, saying such workers can return after seven days in isolation instead of 10.
The change comes as the U.S. braces for a new wave of coronavirus cases from the heavily contagious omicron variant, which is expected to put new stress on the U.S. health care system.
In a statement, the CDC said that it is recommending a seven-day isolation and quarantine period for workers in that field.

On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) sounded off on Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) reportedly thinking about leaving the Democratic Party.
The White House slammed Manchin as disloyal to the party after the senator rejected President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda.
McConnell told “The Hugh Hewitt Show” that if Manchin were to join the GOP, he would find “a lot of folks who have similar views on a whole range of issues.” He added it was possible Manchin would get to keep his chairmanship of the Energy Committee if he made the move.

The oldest teenager charged with the carjacking of Democrat Representative Mary Gay Scanlon was out on bond at the time of the crime on Wednesday from stealing another car.
