A third-party investigation is underway in a California city after two mask-wearing fire department paramedics allegedly refused to enter a rehab facility to render assistance to a man suffering cardiac arrest. About an hour later, the patient was tragically pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported there. An officer responding to the scene in Rialto, California, said on his bodycam, in footage obtained by Fox 11 Los Angeles through a freedom of information request, that the medics wouldn’t come inside because of some COVID-19-related rule, and that the patient, who reportedly wasn’t breathing pursuant to the 911 call, needed to be brought out to them.

Comments:

Some people need to be sued into penury!! It won't bring their loved one back but it may stop other families from having to go through the same thing.

With all the conflicting reports and guidelines that Fauchi has put out in these past 2 years, no wonder no one knows what the correct protocol is today. It changes daily.

I’m a 75 year old nurse who retired this fall. I cannot imagine standing in “line of sight” of a patient in cardiac arrest and doing nothing. Or refusing to enter a building to help him. The he// with the law. Your job is to help people. I’d fire both of them. I hope they get nailed for negligent homicide. Can you imagine being the loved ones of this man? One question comes to mind though, did the facility have an AED to deliver a shock?

As a paramedic, I believe that they should be fired. We have guidelines in place on my service for our safety. My coworkers and I would have ignored this rule and gone in and rendered care. We do what we do because of who we are. Sadly, not everyone feels the same. We have cheapened the value of a life. Went on a call yesterday for a semi-responsive elderly person. Our carbon monoxide detector started going off immediately. No one panicked. We just load him to the cot and did our thing in the rig instead of in the residence. I’m lucky to work with good people. In other news, after I left work, one of our fully vaccinated nurses tested positive for Covid. Maybe the Iowa Shill will explain that !!! LOL !!

Whose rule? Was it the paramedics or the rehab facility? Did the paramedics refuse to go in or were they denied entry?

#8, your post clings to tradition and the of the people who have traditionally belonged to Fire Departments and Rescue services. Unfortunately today due to Affirmative action, lowered standards, Quota's, and hiring preferences , many people now in the Fire service are there for the paycheck. I speak as one who started as a 16 year old kid who's father helped start the Volunteer Fire department I first joined, I went into a big city Fire Department as a paid Fireman at the age of 21, put in my time, retired and went back to being a volunteer in my rural community where I live, and still volunteer and make calls at the age of 79. The Company I now belong to and run with would have gone in to help this man, even though we know that 95% of those who need CPR for aged cardiac arrest will not make it

That department needs to be sued. You don't want to go inside a building EMT's? Then find another job. Not all victims are outdoors, most are in residents or other buildings. This is just sickening for this family.

Well, isn’t this interesting. Pfizer on Friday said the Covid pandemic will continue through the 2022 midterms and could extend to 2024. Just in time for the general election. Is this also an admission the Covid vaccines don’t work? Reuters reported: Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) on Friday forecast that the COVID-19 pandemic would not be behind us until 2024 and said a lower-dose version of its vaccine for 2- to 4-year-olds generated a weaker immune response than expected, potentially delaying authorization. Pfizer Chief Scientific Officer Mikael Dolsten said in a presentation to investors that the company expects some regions to continue to see pandemic levels of COVID-19 cases over the next year or two.

Let’s take a look at some of the non-binary creatures who will be celebrating Christmas, and perhaps a few more Christmases, in orange jumpsuits. Salad-dodger Jacob Michael Gaines traveled from Texas to Oregon to play tough gal with federal law enforcement.

Frequently, the week’s top knucklehead earns this dreaded honor for a singular, overwhelmingly idiotic action or statement which is supported by other, underlying knuckleheadedness. Occasionally, however, we come across a candidate who inexplicably decides to engage in rapid fire ridiculousness by repeatedly saying or doing one stupid thing after another. Such was the case this week with the incomparable Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). There are undoubtedly some smug, leftist elites who will dismiss the idea that Pocahontas can be a knucklehead. They’ll lecture, “She’s an academic, she’s intelligent,” and then they’ll point to her Ivy League “background.” For starters, Liz Warren never graduated from an Ivy League school.

I had coffee recently with a friend of mine, a retired FBI agent. We were talking about the mess the FBI has become. He’s even more disturbed about the politicization of the bureau than I am. During our talk he said something very interesting: “Current agents are just keeping their heads down and following orders.” A simple statement with profound implications. Jobs in law enforcement are fundamentally different than other jobs. That difference is the oath that all law enforcement officers swear. The FBI oath states: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States

Despite a pandemic, persistent concerns about inflation and empty shelves brought on by a supply chain crisis, the hard-left elements controlling the Biden administration remain fixated on establishing as policy that America is a racist nation — see critical race theory. Then again, such an effort follows the Democratic Party’s well-worn script of first declaring a crisis — in this case, painting America as a racist nation — to then implement radical changes to the system. Under new Department of Health and Human Services rules, the administration will offer bonuses to doctors who “create and implement an anti-racism plan,” according to The Washington Free Beacon.
