Omicron cases in the US have soared by 32 per cent in 24 hours, with White House COVID tsar Dr Anthony Fauci warning of of the variant's 'extraordinary' ability to spread, before revealing that cases will double every three days. Confirmed US Omicron cases jumped by a third overnight, from 241 on Wednesday to 319 on Thursday. But experts have warned those are the tip of the iceberg, and that American cases likely already number in the tens of thousands.

Comments:

The poison dwarf makes the talk show circuit this morning, whipping up the fear again. This putz has done more damage to America and her citizens than any one other person I can think of with this garbage. Did someone think to ask this fountain of misinformation 'What flu'? We haven't had any flu since COVID hit the scene two years ago - according to CDC. A fraud in need of a jail cell.

Fear porn. Boring, boring, boring. Has anyone actually been seriously ill from this Oh-my-gosh! version? That is a serious question. We can't seem to get much factual news, and certainly everything that Dr. Fraud says is a lie. Spreading like the common cold, and as far as is currently known, apparently about as serious. Still too early to be certain, I think, but let's hope it stays in the "not too bad" category.

Why don’t we just throw the freaking masks away, screw the vaccine and boosters, fly on planes without masks, … you know, like we used to do - AND see what happens. So what if we all get Omicron? We’ll get over it and for those who get really ill we give them the new Merck or Pfizer drugs or ivermectin, or HCQ/Z pack/zinc. Then we go on with our lIves. If Ron DeSantis were President, this is what he would do. Second, my wife has been on hydroxychloroquine for over 20 years. She went to her dermatologist who treats her with this for an autoimmune disorder (did I mention with one single side effect). The dermatologist asked if she has had difficulty getting her prescriptions filled for it, which she hasn’t. The doctor said the federal government has visited her office multiple times to investigate why she prescribes this and also ivermectin (which she treats scabies with). She said that physicians are greatly troubled about this government overreach and snooping.

Joe Biden announced Thursday a $30 million investment in U.S. trucking as administration officials meet with industry leaders in an effort to attract new drivers in the midst of a massive supply chain crisis. The White House said in a fact sheet on the new plan that the COVID-19 pandemic 'exacerbated longstanding workforce challenges in the trucking industry, including high turnover rates, an aging workforce, long hours away from home, and time spent waiting.' The new action plan, including the new investment, is an action from the administration's Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force, which was launched in June to 'lead whole government effort' to address bottlenecks.

Vice President Kamala Harris said in an interview that “women will die” if the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) overturns landmark ruling Roe v. Wade. Currently, the Court is weighing a case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which pertains to a 15-week abortion ban in Mississippi. The outcome of Dobbs could have direct implications on Roe. In an interview published Sunday with the San Francisco Chronicle, Harris said that efforts for SCOTUS to curtail abortion could result in women dying, adding that she’s not “alarmist” or “extreme” by suggesting that. “I don’t mean to sound alarmist, I mean this: Women will die,” Harris said in the interview.
