Americans are returning to normal despite the corporate media’s attempts to drum up alarm over the supposedly “highly transmissible” Omicron variant of COVID-19. While corporate media outlets panicked and revived permanent pandemic narratives and talk of more lockdowns, a new poll from CBS News and YouGov found that of 1,731 people surveyed, 81 percent said they have not rearranged plans because of the Omicron variant or the hype surrounding it. In fact, a majority said they still plan to keep their normal holiday traditions and routines. Sixty-eight percent still plan to “gather with friends and family,”

Unfortunately, my sister, who is centrally located in our family with a huge home in the country where we usually have gathered for the last few years for Thanksgiving is still "hiding under her bed". Since shooting with the grand nephews and nieces and nephews was always part of our holiday fun, her rural property was perfect in many ways. Lot so of clay birds 'died' out in her pasture with lots of shotgun shells expended. During the first year and a half, she never left her large rural property for anything unless it was literally mandatory like getting some papers for an estate notarized. Her son delivered her groceries to her garage, and stayed away for about 18 months. I haven't asked him recently if that is over with, but she hasn't invited anyone this Thanksgiving, either. She's apparently bought into Dr. Fraud's whole line of BS, and I used to think that she was pretty smart. My opinion of her intellect in these later years has been lowered by this sad performance. And she was a military officer and professional pilot for her career. Too easily frightened by invisible boogey men apparently. She got the shots, and after that, she started back on eating in restaurants for a while. I haven't contacted her in many months, so don't know if she's back hiding out or not. But she doesn't want us unvaccinated relatives visiting, apparently. OK, her choice. Kinda sad, though.

My wife and I "got on with our lives" in the summer of 2020, after the restaurants here re-opened after 6 weeks closed. We have eaten out at restaurants two or three times a week, as usual, the whole time. We traveled all across the SE states and to Colorado many times. We did NOT hide out, and whenever possible (almost 100% when traveling) we ate in restaurants inside and always avoided all 'take out only' places, sometimes taking great efforts to eat in a sit down restaurant when traveling. Some counties had all restaurants closed....so we waited for the next county when traveling. And we frequently ignored 'masks required' signs and we almost never challenged. We have refused to let this nasty lying Dr. Fraud and his hundreds of thousands of evil minions control our lives. And we are members of the "control group" without vaccinations and have not gotten sick. In fact, most of the people that I know that got the disease were vaccinated. Sorry to disappoint the DC crazies.....but we will NOT be play their game.

Atlanta — An Associated Press review of every potential case of voter fraud in the six battleground states disputed by former President Donald Trump has found fewer than 475 — a number that would have made no difference in the 2020 presidential election. Democrat Joe Biden won Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and their 79 Electoral College votes by a combined 311,257 votes out of 25.5 million ballots cast for president. The disputed ballots represent just 0.15% of his victory margin in those states. The cases could not throw the outcome

The White House is preparing for a flood of coronavirus cases to hit the United States in January after federal health officials briefed them with prediction models, according to reports. “Everything points to a large wave. A large wave is coming,” a senior Biden administration official told Axios on Tuesday, predicting “plenty of hospitalizations” in the months ahead. The Washington Post reported that top federal health officials from the Centers for Disease Control outlined their latest prediction models showing a large increase in cases and shared them with senior administration officials. One health official familiar with the briefing described the latest scenario as “daunting.”

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Tuesday canceled White House Christmas parties over Omicron variant coronovirus fears, according to the Daily Mail. While Joe Biden, Vice President Harris, Jill Biden, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will host the Democrat National Committee’s (DNC) holiday party elsewhere in Washington, DC, Tuesday evening, the Bidens have canceled many of the traditional White House Christmas celebrations that afford private citizens a glimpse into the mansion’s Christmas cheer. “In the coming days, we will host a limited number of Holiday Open Houses, inviting guests to see the Christmas decorations in person at the White House,” Jill Biden’s spokesman, Michael LaRosa, told the Daily Mail.

During an appearance on FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) slammed the Biden administration for neglecting duties for which the federal government was typically responsible. DeSantis said now those duties, mainly immigration, were be left to state governments to handle. “So, the border is obviously a disaster,” he said. “And some people say, Well, that’s a problem for Texas or Arizona. Well, actually, the Biden administration puts people on planes and flies them into Florida in the wee hours of the morning. So they’ve done over 70 flights in the last six months, dumped people here.

After New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced a statewide mask mandate on Friday, she was immediately met with resistance. Small business owners, already struggling this season, were not happy with being put in a position of forcing customers to wear masks or face fines. However, county officials said they would not waste resources enforcing the mandate. Fifteen counties across the state are reportedly refusing to comply with the mandate in a stunning rebuke of the governor. Rather than standing her ground, Hochul chose to cave. After putting the counties in charge of enforcing the mandate, on Monday she said she wouldn’t force them to comply—effectively backtracking on her own mandate

The way they’re trying to hide the true cost of the bill is only putting in the cost of the programs for a couple of years. The CBO score revealed the true cost if the programs were kept. It’s a start. In run-off elections for Houston ISD board trustees, two conservatives defeated their incumbent Democrat opponents. National politics look to have influenced voters as they rejected hot button issues like Critical Race Theory and face mask mandates in Houston public schools. Both conservative candidates used the issues on the campaign trail. There has not been conservative representation on the HISD school board since 2019. It is a nine-member board so clearly, two conservatives are in the minority. It is good news to simply have them on the board. This looks to be another bad sign for Democrats as the midterm elections next November

According to the report, Democrats were beating Republicans by nine points in the polls by early December 2017, and “as it turned out, this was the margin by which they’d win the national House vote” the next year. In December 2021, Republicans are holding an average two-point advantage.

Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours. Everyone around him treated it like an emergency. Not him. Was that a crime? Watch the end of this clip, starting at around 3:00.

For that reason, I take particular delight in noting that Steven Spielberg's remake of WSS may have enthralled critics, but no one is rushing to see it. And no wonder, given that it's so darn woke that parts of it are in a language most Americans don't speak, but Spielberg refused to include subtitles. Let me quickly get through my biases. I hate Steven Spielberg movies because I find them overblown, predictable, and incredibly boring. I also dislike the way he presents children.

Only Democrats voted in favor of the hike, with the final vote standing at 50 to 49, with one Republican abstaining. That meant there was no need for Vice President Kamala Harris to break a tie. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on the floor Tuesday morning that the hike would allow the U.S. to borrow enough money to fund its expenses into 2023 - after the midterm elections.
