Manchin May Have Just Dealt Fatal Blow

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is talking about the new CBO score that came in on Friday on the Build Back Better bill and he’s not at all happy. While the Biden team has been falsely pitching that the bill was going to be fully paid for, the CBO revealed the true costs if the social programs they were planning became permanent. The way they’re trying to hide the true cost of the bill is only putting in the cost of the programs for a couple of years. The CBO score revealed the true cost if the programs were kept. It would cost nearly $5 trillion and add $3 trillion

Until it's dead with a wooden stake through it's heart, I still expect Manchin and Sinema to cave when it counts. Never, ever trust or elect a Democrat. The establishment GOP blew it in 2018 when they couldn't beat Manchin and Tester ... and several other races in the past.

My expectation is that this is going to give Manchin all the cover he needs to finish this nonsense once and for all. I think he has been dragging this out to see how killing this is going to play at home in West Virginia. According to what I have seen, his approval ratings are running north of 60%, and the people in his home state want this dead. I look for him to be the nail in the coffin. I think you will also see more senators come out against this in Trump states now. Team Xiden has done a lousy job of selling this crap, and it is deeply unpopular in most areas of the country now because of the inflationary nature of dumping another 5T dollars of clownbux into the economy.

The fact that this whole budget busting, tax hiking, five trillion dollar BS bill's passage depends on one demoslut not going along with the plan should scare the crap out of every taxpaying citizen. The communists want to pass this thing before the Christmas break because after the break, nothing will get done. It then becomes campaign time until Nov. 2022.

Atlanta — An Associated Press review of every potential case of voter fraud in the six battleground states disputed by former President Donald Trump has found fewer than 475 — a number that would have made no difference in the 2020 presidential election. Democrat Joe Biden won Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and their 79 Electoral College votes by a combined 311,257 votes out of 25.5 million ballots cast for president. The disputed ballots represent just 0.15% of his victory margin in those states. The cases could not throw the outcome

The White House is preparing for a flood of coronavirus cases to hit the United States in January after federal health officials briefed them with prediction models, according to reports. “Everything points to a large wave. A large wave is coming,” a senior Biden administration official told Axios on Tuesday, predicting “plenty of hospitalizations” in the months ahead. The Washington Post reported that top federal health officials from the Centers for Disease Control outlined their latest prediction models showing a large increase in cases and shared them with senior administration officials. One health official familiar with the briefing described the latest scenario as “daunting.”

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Tuesday canceled White House Christmas parties over Omicron variant coronovirus fears, according to the Daily Mail. While Joe Biden, Vice President Harris, Jill Biden, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will host the Democrat National Committee’s (DNC) holiday party elsewhere in Washington, DC, Tuesday evening, the Bidens have canceled many of the traditional White House Christmas celebrations that afford private citizens a glimpse into the mansion’s Christmas cheer. “In the coming days, we will host a limited number of Holiday Open Houses, inviting guests to see the Christmas decorations in person at the White House,” Jill Biden’s spokesman, Michael LaRosa, told the Daily Mail.

Americans are returning to normal despite the corporate media’s attempts to drum up alarm over the supposedly “highly transmissible” Omicron variant of COVID-19. While corporate media outlets panicked and revived permanent pandemic narratives and talk of more lockdowns, a new poll from CBS News and YouGov found that of 1,731 people surveyed, 81 percent said they have not rearranged plans because of the Omicron variant or the hype surrounding it. In fact, a majority said they still plan to keep their normal holiday traditions and routines. Sixty-eight percent still plan to “gather with friends and family,”

During an appearance on FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) slammed the Biden administration for neglecting duties for which the federal government was typically responsible. DeSantis said now those duties, mainly immigration, were be left to state governments to handle. “So, the border is obviously a disaster,” he said. “And some people say, Well, that’s a problem for Texas or Arizona. Well, actually, the Biden administration puts people on planes and flies them into Florida in the wee hours of the morning. So they’ve done over 70 flights in the last six months, dumped people here.

After New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced a statewide mask mandate on Friday, she was immediately met with resistance. Small business owners, already struggling this season, were not happy with being put in a position of forcing customers to wear masks or face fines. However, county officials said they would not waste resources enforcing the mandate. Fifteen counties across the state are reportedly refusing to comply with the mandate in a stunning rebuke of the governor. Rather than standing her ground, Hochul chose to cave. After putting the counties in charge of enforcing the mandate, on Monday she said she wouldn’t force them to comply—effectively backtracking on her own mandate

It’s a start. In run-off elections for Houston ISD board trustees, two conservatives defeated their incumbent Democrat opponents. National politics look to have influenced voters as they rejected hot button issues like Critical Race Theory and face mask mandates in Houston public schools. Both conservative candidates used the issues on the campaign trail. There has not been conservative representation on the HISD school board since 2019. It is a nine-member board so clearly, two conservatives are in the minority. It is good news to simply have them on the board. Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours. Everyone around him treated it like an emergency. Not him. Was that a crime? Watch the end of this clip, starting at around 3:00.

For that reason, I take particular delight in noting that Steven Spielberg's remake of WSS may have enthralled critics, but no one is rushing to see it. And no wonder, given that it's so darn woke that parts of it are in a language most Americans don't speak, but Spielberg refused to include subtitles. Let me quickly get through my biases. I hate Steven Spielberg movies because I find them overblown, predictable, and incredibly boring. I also dislike the way he presents children.

Only Democrats voted in favor of the hike, with the final vote standing at 50 to 49, with one Republican abstaining. That meant there was no need for Vice President Kamala Harris to break a tie. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on the floor Tuesday morning that the hike would allow the U.S. to borrow enough money to fund its expenses into 2023 - after the midterm elections.
