Matthew Walther, editor of The Lamp, a Catholic literary journal and a contributing editor at The American Conservative, penned an article for the liberal Atlantic magazine stating what should be a truism but is actually a shock to the liberal intelligentsia and opinion molders and makers on the coasts. Nobody really gives a rat’s patootie about COVID. I don’t know how to put this in a way that will not make me sound flippant: No one cares. Literally speaking, I know that isn’t true, because if it were, the articles wouldn’t be commissioned. Agree with #1. I care deeply that a man I knew died from it! He had a preexisting condition that made him vulnerable. But I don't hide in my home or wear 3 masks in public (but I do know someone who does wear 3 masks!). Most people I know are going about their lives and perhaps being more careful about hand washing and touching or letting their children touch everything they see. But I go where I want to go and do what I was doing. My grandchildren have even been to the movies several times. I haven't, but there's been nothing I want to see. Life goes on with a few sensible adjustments.

I lost a friend recently from this ChiCom bioweapon. He was denied monoclonal antibodies when he and his wife came down with the virus, and she was given the treatment. She recovered in two days, he suffered with no treatment for weeks and finally was hospitalized with lung problems and went steadily downhill to death. In my view, he was murdered by our medical establishment denying him early treatment. That opinion will never change, and I will never "get over it". Some doctors are flat out murderers. Others are literal lifesavers. Now my new mission is separating the real docs from the murderers with white coats. That is a challenge. I know that in most rural parts of Kansas, other than the big chain stores where orders came down from corporate offices, most restaurants were open and working. Odd stuff like Wendy's putting every order in a 'to go bag'. I asked for a tray.....was told "corporate took all our trays". Nutso. Now many of those same small restaurants are closed except for take out because of staffing problems. Idiot Joe has handed out so much money that folks don't want to work in lower paying restaurant jobs any more. So, yeah, people are getting on with their lives, but the Wuhan handouts are still dramatically upsetting the restaurant and other businesses because of government cash handouts.

If 90% don't give a flying rip, why, why, are 90% of the shoppers I see wearing masks where I live when there is no government edict in place? I just want to pick up a cashier's phone and make an announcement asking them why are they wearing their freakin' masks. It's maddening and disheartening. I was asked in a check-out line by another shopper if there was a mandate, and replied in a voice heard by many that no, there isn't, and I don't know why so many are wearing them.

# 5 - I came to the conclusion that some people actually like wearing masks. And most of the ones I see with them are black people and honestly, with all the stuff that has come to light recently about purposely killing people with vaccines, I don't blame them. We know it's not helping but I decided to just accept that they can make their own decisions about this. There will be massive lung problems and diseases in the years to come. The part that does outrage me is forcing children to wear them and/or get the shot.

To everyone I know, Covid is just a cold or the flu. Whether you are vaccinated or not, if you are going to get you are going to get it. 99.99% chance of no problems if you don't get it. We are all so over Covid and the hysteria over a cold.

I don't think the author was referring to not caring about Covid when it comes to those that have died from Covid, but to the scare tactics of government officials and the media. People are fed up with lies and mask mandates, the constant brow beatings about the vaccine, the six feet apart stickers on the floor of stores, the mask wearing employees at places of business, and now with Biteme and inflation. Enough already, go away and leave us alone.

Let the parade begin! Democrats who see the writing on the wall and who have been around in Congress for a while are seeing this as a good time to pack it in. The latest to retire is five-term Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-CA). Lowenthal is the 20th Democrat who will be retiring or otherwise moving on at the end of this term. He’s 80 years old and has been serving in political positions since 1992, almost thirty years. Generally, you hear a lot of retirements after the holidays. The fact that there have been so many already has to be worrying the Democrats because there are likely even more coming,

Atlanta — An Associated Press review of every potential case of voter fraud in the six battleground states disputed by former President Donald Trump has found fewer than 475 — a number that would have made no difference in the 2020 presidential election. Democrat Joe Biden won Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and their 79 Electoral College votes by a combined 311,257 votes out of 25.5 million ballots cast for president. The disputed ballots represent just 0.15% of his victory margin in those states. The cases could not throw the outcome

After New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced a statewide mask mandate on Friday, she was immediately met with resistance. Small business owners, already struggling this season, were not happy with being put in a position of forcing customers to wear masks or face fines. However, county officials said they would not waste resources enforcing the mandate. Fifteen counties across the state are reportedly refusing to comply with the mandate in a stunning rebuke of the governor. Rather than standing her ground, Hochul chose to cave. After putting the counties in charge of enforcing the mandate, on Monday she said she wouldn’t force them to comply—effectively backtracking on her own mandate

National politics look to have influenced voters as they rejected hot button issues like Critical Race Theory and face mask mandates in Houston public schools. Both conservative candidates used the issues on the campaign trail. There has not been conservative representation on the HISD school board since 2019. It is a nine-member board so clearly, two conservatives are in the minority. It is good news to simply have them on the board. Approximately 168,000 of the 800,000 U.S. COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented by the Covid vaccines, a new analysis finds. The Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) analyzed Covid death data in the U.S., and found that tens-of-thousands of deaths over the past six months could have been prevented if people had gotten vaccinated. They used the death rate among fully vaccinated people—who do occasionally die from the virus despite the overall rarity—and calculated how many unvaccinated people would have lived if they had received the jab. September and October were especially brutal, with a combined 92,800 deaths deemed preventable.
