Philadelphia has shattered its 30-year-old record for annual murders, surpassing the much larger cities of New York and Los Angeles as a dozen major cities post all-time records for homicides -- all of them with Democratic mayors. As of December 6, Philadelphia had recorded 521 homicides for the year, surpassing New York's 443 and Los Angeles at 352. This is despite the fact that with a population of 1.5 million, the City of Brotherly Love is less than half the size of Los Angeles and one-fifth of New York. Though Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, which leads the nation with 739 murders this year,

Two factors are constant. One, George Soros supported District Attorneys. Two, blue cities. The net result is lawlessness and major crimes, especially murders. Soros should be prosecuted for his crimes.

I grew up with black people in the forties and fifties. They were some of the best people I ever knew. That said I no longer care about the ongoing slaughter in the black communities. It’s an appalling tragedy but if the left and the blacks don’t care anymore then neither do I. The only people who can change this are the blacks themselves. They are not smart enough to change so we will continue to see the teddy bears in memory of the nine year old shot in the head in a crossfire. Great...that will help a lot. The kid is dead forever and the Democrats ignore the problem.

Chicago death rate now is twice as high as it was in the roaring twenties which everyone thinks of as a really deadly, violent, blood drenched time in Chicago. Twice as bad now.

Administration officials pushed back on reports that Biden was ready to make certain 'concessions' to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Associated Press reported in advance of the call that Biden may press Zelensky to formally cede some autonomy to a portion of Ukrainian lands already controlled by Russian-backed separatists in order to head off an invasion.

The first time Victoria White visited the nation’s capital was on January 6, 2021. Listening to President Trump’s speech—with her teen daughter and three friends alongside her—would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, White thought.Instead, the day turned into a personal nightmare with real-time flashbacks to her years as a victim of domestic abuse.White, a mother of four, recounted to me this week by phone in horrifying and heartbreaking detail how at least two D.C. Metropolitan police officers viciously assaulted her inside a tunnel on the lower west terrace of the Capitol building on January 6. More than eight months after its enactment, the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan continues to reveal itself as the most damaging spending bill enacted in decades. ARP was initially promoted primarily as health-care legislation to finance COVID vaccines and treatments (even though just 1 percent of its cost went towards vaccines and only 5 percent had any direct relation to health care) and secondarily as a relief bill. Instead, the legislation became a large grab bag of giveaways and economic “stimulus” provisions that even left-of-center economists such as Lawrence Summers, Jason Furman, and Mark Zandi warned was too expensive, too inflationary, too unnecessary, and too wasteful.

DAVIS, Calif. — Banana peels, chicken bones and leftover veggies won't have a place in California trashcans under the nation's largest mandatory residential food waste recycling program that's set to take effect in January. The effort is designed to keep landfills in the most populous U.S. state clear of food waste that damages the atmosphere as it decays. When food scraps and other organic materials break down they emit methane, a greenhouse gas more potent and damaging in the short-term than carbon emissions from fossil fuels. To avoid those emissions, California plans to start converting residents' food waste into compost or

Hillary Clinton lost, and now she needs to move on from the 2016 election. I’m not trying to be cruel or twist the knife. I mean this with all sincerity. She just needs to move on for her own good. The constant reliving of her failed campaign against former President Donald Trump is unhealthy. She’s clearly still upset about it. She’s clearly still angry. But she’ll never recover from her defeat so long as she continues to wallow in it, relentlessly poring over every excruciating detail. She’ll certainly never recover if she continues in both word and deed to define herself by her failed campaign.

Yes, Joe Biden is far and away the worst president in the history of the United States. However, the four-year Trump interlude between Obama and Biden gave the U.S. at least a little resiliency to stand against Biden’s hard-left administration. Imagine how much worse things would have been if Hillary had immediately stepped into Obama’s shoes. America wouldn’t have stood a chance.
