There's no Republican who the haters at MSNBC won't mock, even in death. Extremist MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan on Sunday undermined Bob Dole, downplaying his World War II heroics because, at the end of his life, he identified himself as a Trump supporter. Hasan, who has a Sunday night show on MSNBC and occasionally fills-in for other supposedly reputable programs, rewrote a New York Times tweet on the late Army vet who almost died under withering Nazi machine gun fire:

yo, Muddy....nearly EVERYONE knows his name, has for decades, nearly 3 generations, will for several more.
Hardly anyone has ever even heard of YOU, and you will never do anything people will remember you for, unless your practice of "Character" assignation morphs into a Real One someday. YOU will never get a mention in any History book, Dole WROTE much of History, he was THERE..

Hmmm. Did Dole support Trump? I live in Kansas and never have heard that before. Not saying it never happened...just that I never have seen anything that would support it.

Hasan's family may well have been allied with the Nazis in WWII. My father was also a highly decorated WWII vet. Went back for Korea and stayed through Vietnam in naval and air force combat aviation roles from 1942 to 1973. He only spoke about the deeds and exploits of the pilots, navigators, and great combat leaders with whom he served. He was an early Trump supporter and was happy he lived to see him in office as president but whether one was or wasn't, is or isn't should not in any way diminish one's service to our country. I believe that the vast majority of living combat veterans of all of our wars, declared or otherwise, are or were Trump supporters. Dole never was much of a "Rah Rah" personality and wasn't much in the news over the past decade, so it would be easy for me to believe that Bob Dole supported Trump perhaps a little quietly.

Since the holocaust was a hoax that didn't happen then perhaps so was the whole WW II thing.
Such disrespect makes my blood boil God bless you Bob Dole thank you for what you did for me.

Hardly worthy of a mention, lt alone an article.
Mehdi Raza Hasan is a British-American political journalist, broadcaster and author of Indian descent. Born in Swindon, UK.
Why is anyone listening to him?

Hasan has stated that the media should be sanctioned for "dishonest, demonising press coverage" of Muslims and other minorities, saying: "I'm all in favour of free speech and the robust criticism of all religious beliefs. But it's the made-up stories and the smearing of individuals and whole communities that I have an issue with. Why isn't anti-Muslim bigotry as unacceptable in the press as anti-Jewish bigotry?"[43]

Won't give credibility to a guy who not only hates the nation that feeds him, but would also support the nazis in their efforts to exterminate the Jews from the earth. Go back to where you came from Hasan, and don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you on the way out.
