Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., will resign from Congress to become chief executive officer of former President Donald Trump’s fledgling social media company next month, the group said Monday. Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, will start as CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group, or TMTG, in January. The press release from TMTG came hours after documents revealed that the SPAC that plans to merge with Trump’s company had been contacted weeks earlier by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Good, he can accomplish more with President Trump than being in Congress with Swampers and RINOS. Until we have an American loving president, any possible bills passed will be vetoed.

Nunes - - a Portuguese name pronounced "nu-NAISH" - - was and is one of the rare, true Trump loyalists. He did an amazing job as a congressman - - but it got him - - and us - - absolutely nowhere - - because of corrupt "prosecutors" like Fat-Face Barr and Judgy Garland. He'll do just as amazing a job for TMTG - - and that will lead to real benefits for all of us. Good luck, Devin Nunes!

The recent PIPE (Private Investment in Public Entity) influx of $1B shows that there is some serious MAGA money that is willing to back DWAC's TRUTH platform. What this needs is a compelling reason for active social media subscribers to migrate from the FB/Twitter/YouTube triumverate to this platform. The holy grail is to make 18-34 year olds and their discretionary spending available to advertisers at a price the undercuts the triumverates monopolistic rates. This is a tough objective given the years of hate that has been heaped on Trump for so many years. They will also have a hard time getting top young IP staff to build the apps and platform. Also, this seems to compete with Jason Miller's GETTR unless the plan is to merge this as well at some point assuming the SEC doesn't tie them all up in court for years. What Nunes brings to the table in this business is not clear. It would be even better if he could bring Kash Patel onboard to really create and investigative juggernaut. I've always thought Trump was the modern incarnation of William Randolf Hearst and if he can build even half the media empire that Hearst did he will be a force to recon with in the future. Wall Street is not amused from the snarky comments I've seen on CNBC.

I think this was a superb move on Nunes’ part. He has my congratulations, prayers and support as he joins Trump on this new venture. IMHO, it is vital that TMTG become wildly successful for the sake of our nation. Nunes stood behind Trump for four years and had to sit under wimp RINO House leadership and watch the party establishment trip up his President. He knows how corrupt the whole bureaucracy is on the Hill. He sees the House Freedom Caucus hasn’t the guts to oppose Kevin for Speaker. Nunes knows his time is better spent with Trump than sitting with the House Republi-cants.

who, or what, will fill his Congress seat? Does the governor appoint? I think Nunes is an excellent choice too. As far as finding competent computer folks to work on apps, the unemployed ranks are filled with very competent IT people because of all these IT jobs being awarded to foreign workers using the visa program. I sincerely hope that Trump will hire American First. And i believe he will. Twitter and fakebook have always depended on foreign IT bums.

I believe President Trump is going to beat the media at their own game as well he should. He knows we cannot continue to have a propagandized media and have any hope of restoring this country. He’s going to find men and women of the highest integrity to run this endeavor. Nunes is a great foundation to build upon. Although he will be a loss in Washington, he can be a real force at this position. People say he has no experience, etc., but if we have learned anything from these past few years is that integrity, work ethic, values and a desire to make a difference can go a long way to being successful. I want Nunes to succeed beyond measure and believe he will. Americans will support this because they are ready to fight for their country in any way they can.

Nunes is too honest and principled to make money while in Congress the old fashioned way (swindle, kick backs, bribes, etc.) so he sees this as a legal money maker. He has served his time and can get out of politics claiming a self imposed term limit claim if he so chooses. His greatest contribution he can make to this business is his integrity and support for conservative principles--not a small thing.

Nobody who's ever worked their way to the good seats at the trough of corruption just walks away. This is what it's supposed to look like where people with other options in the free market serve and move on. My first reaction was to be bothered that one of a handful who actually seem to be serving their country was moving on but this is what winning looks like. We don't want to replace today's permanent ruling class swamp creatures with another class of permanent swamp creatures.

I voted for President. Trump twice , GAVE $ TO HIS CAMPAIGN, and am also a big Nunes fan, but have to say that I have great qualms about voting for Trump again, simply because he can't get over his vendettas. E.G. I agree that there was probably great fraud in the last Presidential election, but it won't be overturned and now we must make sure that such fraud does not exist in future. ( live in Ct. and one---and probably many more---of my legislators is proud to say he is pushing for mail in ballots full bore). Trump HAS to stop talking about the last election and, more than that, stop going after anyone he considers an enemy, be it Mike Pence, who is a principled man who felt he could NOT overturn the results, to those in Georgia he felt didn't fight hard enough for him, and now, as of today in an editorial in the WSJournal, backing a horrendous choice re: monitoring tv et al because she MIGHT go after Fox News, who called Arizona for Biden. This woman is horrendous in every way, and Newsmax (forget them now as far as I am concerned) is all for her as she might limit Fox. And Trump is FOR her for the very same reason. I thought Trump was wonderful in so many other ways (the border, re: China, N. Korea and Russia etc.) and gave $ to his campaign but will NOT do so now, and probably will not back him, despite text messages from his campaign about 6 times a day. I ,therefore, am very disappointed that Nunes will associate himself....UNLESS OF COURSE HE CAN CONVINCE THE DONALD TO STOP HIS ALL AMERICAN REVENGE TOUR!!!!!!!!!

In response to #18: Trey Gowdy and Nunes accomplished a lot and we owe them, "big time." Gowdy exposed Hillary's emails. Without that, she would likely have been elected in 2016 and still be president today. Nunes exposed the Dem plot to overthrow the Trumo presidency. Without his alertness on the Intel Committee, the swamp would have succeeded in impeaching and convicting Trump. As a chain reaction to what Nunes' did, he exposed the swamp and the deep state. Wheels are moving slowly, but if Darden ever gets close enough to Hillary to fully expose her plotting, you can thank Kevin Nunes.

#28 How did an article about Devin Nunes get your panties all tied up in a wad about President Trump? President Trump is fighting for us, believe it or not. We were the object of destruction by the Biden/Obama cabal. Those who sabotaged him, sabotaged us and our votes in the 2020 Presidential election. We don't want those back stabbers in Congress whoever they are. Trump is identifying them and targeting them. Good! Back to Devin Nunes. Congressman Nunes was our adopted Congressman when we lived in CA. He is a good man. Does Justice Sonia Sotomayor even read the briefs in cases before the Supreme Court? I ask because the cases don't come any bigger than Dobbs v. Wade and 1992 decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey. I joined two other female physicians (a neonatologist and an obstetrician) in an amicus brief detailing advances in fetal science that have happened since 1973. During oral arguments, Justice Sotomayor displayed abysmal ignorance of the most basic scientific and medical facts about developing human life.

I've never heard Dr Anthony Fauci's cell phone voicemail greeting, but I imagine it says: 'Yes, I'll come on your show.' Across the nation, school districts and politicians are embroiled in a debate over "Critical Race Theory" (snip) The Civil Rights Movement was successful because it emphasized our commonalities as Americans: our common hopes, dreams, struggles, and destiny being tied together. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. rejected standing apart as a solution, often saying, "We cannot walk alone." This is what many CRT proponents get wrong and what parents across the country are rejecting. We cannot teach our children to see themselves as defined and destined by race, that a trait is White or Black, that the American dream is only available for some.

A trans swimmer and senior at the University of Pennsylvania, who previously spent three years competing as a man, smashed two US records while competing at a weekend contest, sparking fresh claims of unfairness. On Sunday, Lia Thomas, 22, put in an astounding performance at the Zippy Invitational Event in Akron, Ohio, that saw her finish the 1,650 yard freestyle 38 seconds ahead of her teammate Anna Sofia Kalandaze. Both patients were double-vaccinated and both had tested negative on a PCR before arriving in Hong Kong last month, with one flying in from Canada and the second flying in from South Africa. With a massive build of Russian troops near Ukraine’s border, Russia’s Vladimir Putin is indicating a willingness to risk a military conflict, but analysts say while the threat is serious, an invasion is not certain. The threat of an invasion will be the central subject of President Biden’s video call with Putin on Tuesday. Biden is expected to warn of dire consequences should Russia follow through with a military offensive, while Putin is expected to reiterate his ultimatum that NATO should not allow Ukraine to join its military alliance. The outcome of the video call could have major implications as Putin weighs the potential costs of a full-fledged invasion of Ukraine.

Socialist Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib took to the House floor recently to complain about her personal student debt and advocated American taxpayers should bailout students like her. (Tweet/Video) Tlaib is a perfect example of how federal bailouts of student loans would actually benefit the rich. It’s not just the poor taking out loans. Students from families earning more than $114,000 a year borrow at the same rate as the lowest-income students — and they take out loans nearly twice as large. Students with advanced degrees — lawyers, doctors and others — account for 40% of all student debt.

Homeless and people with low incomes will soon be housed next to the iconic and expensive Venice Beach neighborhood after the Los Angeles City Council approved last week a 136-unit apartment building. The project, which will be built on city property that is now a parking lot, will cover 2.7 acres and the Venice Dell Community project will cost $75 million. This is a development that is also taking place in other U.S. cities led by leftists who believe forcing diversity of income and race into prosperous and safe neighborhoods is required to achieve “equity.” Half of the units will house homeless people,
