‘Blindsided’: Fury in NYC as de Blasio
gives firms just 3 weeks to get vaxxed

Original Article

Mayor Bill de Blasio sprung a COVID-19 vaccine mandate on all private businesses in New York City on Monday—drawing immediate rebuke from trade groups and some fellow elected officials who said the backbone of the Big Apple was “blindsided” by the stunning move. Adding to the shockwave, the policy is scheduled to go into effect in just 21 days, on Dec. 27. The announcement left New Yorkers and the city’s business community flabbergasted. Kathryn Wylde, head of the business group Partnership for NYC, blasted the mayor’s announcement. “There’s no forewarning, no discussion, no idea about whether it’s legal or who he expects to enforce it,” she said.

The tyrant also has decreed that children ages 5 to 11 years must be vaxxed in order to enter public buildings (restaurants, museums, etc) and to participate in extracurricular activities at school. There is essentially zero evidence that children are at risk from Covid, but plenty of evidence mounting on dangerous side effects.

My employer (a division of one of the top 50 companies in the USA) just sent a directive that all employees must register their vac status (either vac or unvac) by mid-December to comply with OSHA requirements. Yeah, the courts may find that unenforcable, but my employer probably figured compliance would be better than the Mentally-Addled-Sleepy-Creepy-Crooked-President-Uncle-Joe's bagman is going to want . You know, "Nice company you got there, too bad if summthin' were to happen to it."

From the column: "Longtime political strategist Hank Sheinkopf said de Blasio, who in recent months has taken steps toward a run for governor next year, imposed the new restrictions to further his standing with the state’s liberal voters. " To further his standing with the state's liberal voters? There's nothing remotely "liberal" about destroying someone's life over a vaccine which doesn't work. Liberals have become TYRANTS if they support diblasio in this.

Advent Health will no longer require its 83,000 employees to be vaccinated against Covid. The decision to suspend the vax mandate comes after Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill preventing employers from enforcing vax mandates." I don't understand these mayors/governors who do this. Are they thinking that they will go down in history as great saviors? Are they pocketing secret money? #38, Floridians don't mind you New Yorkers moving to the Sunshine State. Heck, we don't even mind your accents -- it adds to the local flavor. And it wasn't until more than a few of you showed up that a decent bagel shop opened in the state. Just don't bring your politics with you. The incredibly beautiful, bountiful state of New York wasn't fouled up by any natural disaster, any war, any shortage of natural or economic resources, any quirk of fate -- it was fouled up by the politicians you chose and the policies they imposed. And you chose them year after year after year after year after year.

DeBlasio is a joke and only has less than a month to go. Thank goodness. BUT, his successor, the exalted saviour of NYC is not even in NYC. He is off on vacation. I worked at fairly high levels in NYC government for 30 years and it is absolutely astonishing that this clown Eric Adams, is off on vacation instead of putting together his government. What the hell is he doing? Every other mayor-elect during this time has already announced his police commissioner, his deputy mayors, and major commissioners. Rudy Giuliani pretty much laid out his major policies during this transition period. This moron will not be able to do crap on January 1. Every single NYC newspaper, including the conservative NY Post, endorsed this fool and now we see just how he will "govern." Small businesses, get ready, because Adams will probably not change this mandate. We already know he smokes pot and is happy that it is "legalized" and we already know that he supports illegal aliens voting. People say NYC can't get worse than under DeBlasio. Just watch.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine could be significantly less effective against the newly discovered Omicron variant that it was against previous strains of the virus. Researchers at the African Health Research Institute (AHRI) found that there are forty times less antibodies in Pfizer vaccine recipients that can fight Omicron than there are for other variants. The pre-print study, made available Tuesday pending peer-review, implies that the vaccine could be less effective against the strain detected last month in South Africa. Conclusions from it cannot yet be drawn, though, and researchers are not yet sure how much more likely the Omicron variant is to cause infection

All the staffers who tested positive had either received their third booster vaccines or antigen tests before the party.

A modern-day slavery ring has been busted in Georgia where workers were raped, kidnapped and imprisoned in squalid camps, according to prosecutors. The crooks raked in more than $200 million by luring in over 100 desperate migrants from Mexico and Central America to the US, a federal indictment says. At least two people died in the brutal conditions that saw workers forced to handpick onions at gunpoint for just 20 cents per bucket in sweltering heat, and another was repeatedly kidnapped and raped. They were kept in squalid camps surrounded by electric fences or cramped living quarters, including dirty trailers with raw sewage leaks.

The United States’ Strategy on Countering Corruption, a 38-page document released Dec. 6, outlines five pillars characterizing its goals. These are: modernizing, coordinating, and resourcing U.S. government efforts to fight corruption; curbing illicit finance; holding corrupt people accountable; preserving and strengthening the capacity to fight corruption; and improving diplomatic engagement, and leveraging foreign assistance resources to fight corruption.(snip)“We recognize that any approach that we take is going to have burdens on the real estate industry.

With a massive build of Russian troops near Ukraine’s border, Russia’s Vladimir Putin is indicating a willingness to risk a military conflict, but analysts say while the threat is serious, an invasion is not certain. The threat of an invasion will be the central subject of President Biden’s video call with Putin on Tuesday. Biden is expected to warn of dire consequences should Russia follow through with a military offensive, while Putin is expected to reiterate his ultimatum that NATO should not allow Ukraine to join its military alliance. The outcome of the video call could have major implications as Putin weighs the potential costs of a full-fledged invasion of Ukraine.

Socialist Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib took to the House floor recently to complain about her personal student debt and advocated American taxpayers should bailout students like her. (Tweet/Video) Tlaib is a perfect example of how federal bailouts of student loans would actually benefit the rich. It’s not just the poor taking out loans. Students from families earning more than $114,000 a year borrow at the same rate as the lowest-income students — and they take out loans nearly twice as large. Students with advanced degrees — lawyers, doctors and others — account for 40% of all student debt.

Homeless and people with low incomes will soon be housed next to the iconic and expensive Venice Beach neighborhood after the Los Angeles City Council approved last week a 136-unit apartment building. The project, which will be built on city property that is now a parking lot, will cover 2.7 acres and the Venice Dell Community project will cost $75 million. This is a development that is also taking place in other U.S. cities led by leftists who believe forcing diversity of income and race into prosperous and safe neighborhoods is required to achieve “equity.” Half of the units will house homeless people,
