Officials issued a blizzard warning for Hawaii, forecasting that at least 12 inches of snow will fall over the weekend.
“The warning is in effect for the Big Island summits from 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday local time,” ABC News reported Friday.
Meanwhile, wind gusts reaching more than 100 miles per hour were also expected, the alert from the National Weather Service Honolulu said.
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” the post read. “Blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility at times, with periods of zero visibility.”
“The strong winds will likely cause significant drifting of snow,” it continued.
The National Weather Service on Saturday noted winter weather conditions

A World War II veteran originally from Alabama who beat the coronavirus in 2020 will be recognized on his 105th birthday Friday with the prestigious French Legion of Honor.
Major Wooten repaired bomb-damaged trains in France when he served as an Army private, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
Now, he will be given the country’s highest decoration during a medal ceremony and birthday celebration in Huntsville, a statement from the French consulate located in Atlanta and his granddaughter, Holly McDonald, said.

On Nov. 8, 2021, the American Heart Association (AHA) journals published the abstracts that researchers and clinicians would present during online scientific sessions beginning on Nov.13. The scientific sessions are rigorous events, and content must be submitted and selected. One of the abstracts published in the journal Circulation dealt with mRNA vaccines and cardiac health. When Twitter users tried to share the information in the abstract, people interested in reading it encountered a warning that it could be an unsafe link.
Astonishingly, Twitter content moderators feel emboldened to censor information published in a journal maintained by a well-respected, mainstream professional association. Further, the data appeared

The Rittenhouse trial is over, and despite the belligerent efforts of the national mob, a young man was rightfully spared. The loudest among the mob may have been the prosecutor, corporate media, and the president of the United States, but the most insidious was Big Tech.
The men and women who run Silicon Valley could not have been clearer on where they stood. They were relentless in their campaign to derail Rittenhouse’s trial, undermine his constitutional rights, and permanently defame his character.
The shift in Big Tech’s “values” is as marked as it is troubling. In a few short years, a handful of innovative American companies that loved this country

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued a statement Wednesday on the Supreme Court case Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, where she said the Court has the responsibility to “honor the Constitution” and uphold abortion rights.
The Dobbs case, as I’ve been covering, surrounds the constitutionality of a 15-week abortion ban in Mississippi. Dobbs is the first case in decades with the potential to overturn landmark cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which gave women the right to an abortion.

Last September, a drama teacher met two black theater students in a Coastal Carolina University classroom. The students wanted to bring back segregation, AKA: They wanted to do their drama, with anyone who wasn’t white. The teacher dutifully wrote the dictated names of non-white students on a whiteboard. When the teacher left, the names were still on the board.
Then, the real drama started. Shortly thereafter, other SOCs (students of color) walked into the classroom. They were thunderstruck to see names of SOCs on a whiteboard.
Racism! The list of names. It’s in, black. The board…WHITE as a KKK hood.
When you can see racism in a glass of milk

A COVID-19 pill is poised to hit the U.S. market after a Food and Drug Administration panel narrowly recommended that Merck’s drug Molnupiravir be granted Emergency Use Authorization.
The FDA panel voted 13-10 that the antiviral drug’s benefits outweigh its risks. If the FDA grants the EUA, Molnupiravir could become first drug that Americans could take at home to treat the coronavirus.
There are major implications if the FDA grants approval to Molnupiravir. First, it signals a shift towards therapeutics as becoming a more prominent tool in the ongoing fight against Covid.
Second, it raises questions about the necessity of Covid vaccine mandates,

Over the weekend, New York Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul signed an executive order halting "elective" or "non-essential" surgeries in the state, claiming it was necessary to prepare for the arrival of the latest Wuhan coronavirus variant.
"We've taken extraordinary action to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and combat this pandemic. However, we continue to see warning signs of spikes this upcoming winter, and while the new Omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York State, it’s coming," Hochul released in a statement. "In preparation, I am announcing urgent steps today to expand hospital capacity and help ensure our hospital systems can tackle any challenges

When he announced last week that he would release more oil from the American Strategic Petroleum Reserve, President Joe Biden told the American people he is doing everything possible to bring down gas prices at the pump.
That's a lie. This administration and the climate change crazies have declared war on American energy.
They want high oil and gas prices. The Biden master plan is for American oil and gas production and consumption to go to zero over the next 15 to 20 years. How do you achieve that goal? By making oil and gas so expensive and so unavailable that Americans are forced to use alternatives.

As the Biden Administration continues to push American families into alternative energy sources by maintaining pain at the pump, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is attempting to explain away high gas prices.
During an interview with MSNBC over the weekend, Buttigieg reassured Americans they won't have to worry about an increase in gas prices ever again, so long as they buy an electric vehicle.
"Families who own that vehicle will never have to worry about gas prices again," Buttigieg said. "The people who stand to benefit most from owning an EV are often rural residents who have the most distances to drive, who burn the most gas, and underserved urban residents

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says the agency’s new so-called “sanctuary country” orders will ensure that the “majority” of illegal aliens living in the United States are not deported.
On Monday, Mayorkas announced that the administration has started implementing its latest sanctuary country orders that protect most criminal illegal aliens by barring Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from arresting and deporting them.
“Today is an important step forward in ensuring that our workforce is empowered to exercise its prosecutorial discretion and focus its enforcement efforts on those who pose a threat to our national security, public safety, and border security,”

The Wikipedia entry for “mass killings under Communist regimes” is reportedly under threat of being removed from the platform over claims of bias.
The Telegraph reports that a Wikipedia entry which details “mass killings under Communist regimes,” is at risk of deletion over claims of bias within the entry. The Wikipedia page which outlines the details of millions of people under one-party Communist regimes such as the Soviet Union and China has been flagged for deletion.
Some Wikipedia editors reportedly disagree with blaming mass genocide on Communist ideology. The entry lists the actions of Communist figures such as Chairman Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, and Kim Jong Il.
