DENVER — The union representing more than 2,000 RTD employees didn't hold back when expressing frustration and outrage over the conditions at Denver's Union Station. "It’s a hellhole. It is," said Lance Longenbohn, president of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 1001. "It’s not safe for the public. It’s not safe for the employees. It’s getting worse." Longebohn doesn't want to take credit for the phrase "hellhole," saying that's how an employee described the current environment. More and more the standard excuse for "h**lhole" conditions is........."Our hands are tied". Ah, these conditions didn't happen overnight. Make sure you submit your property tax payment on time or they may lick-a-dee splitz forward your account to the city lien department. Take that! What a disaster with almost non-existent accountability.

I quit going to downtown Denver when my favorite restaurant closed during the lockdown. I haven't been down there in months. I see it hasn't improved.

As a native Coloradoan I feel somewhat qualified to speak to this issue. When our beloved state legalized marijuana (thanks Californian transplants) everything went to pot (pun intended). 16th Street Mall and downtown in general was a nice place to go - when the Colorado Rockies built Coors Field in downtown, it was great. LoDo (lower downtown) was revitalized, a great place to eat, drink, and be merry - and I had no concerns with taking my young family down there when we visited Denver (I am not a Denverite). Years of liberal policies and a failure to enforce laws/legalize drugs brought the very worst elements to our state. The liberals have wrecked this state. I mourn for the loss of Red Colorado - maybe one day people will see the light, but I am not hopeful as more Californians flee their mess to infect other parts of our country.

All of Denver is a hellhole. Perhaps the fact that democrats have owned the mayor's office since 1963 might be a clue as to why that once great city has become unlivable.

The U.S. economy created far fewer jobs than expected in November, before a new Covid threat created a scare that growth could slow into the winter, the Labor Department reported Friday. Nonfarm payrolls increased by just 210,000 for the month, though the unemployment rate fell sharply to 4.2% from 4.6%, even though the labor force participation rate increased for the month to 61.8%, its highest level since March 2020. The Dow Jones estimate was for 573,000 new jobs and a jobless level of 4.5% for an economy beset by a chronic labor shortage. A more encompassing measure of unemployment that

WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden wants to take a victory lap on the infrastructure deal he signed into law last month and to pitch Americans on his social and climate spending bill working its way through Congress, but the coronavirus has other plans. The president was elected on the promise of bring the pandemic to an end, but fears over the global spread of the omicron variant prove the shadow of COVID-19 may loom larger than the administration anticipated. Much like this summer, when the delta variant ripped across the country and undercut the White House's celebration in the pandemic fight

President Joe Biden’s African travel ban went into effect Monday. Biden's actions here directly contradict what he said when former President Donald Trump instituted similar travel bans to stop the spread of the coronavirus. In fact, they lay bare an underlying insincerity about Biden's entire handling of the pandemic. When Trump did this exact same thing, Biden stoked the flames of racial hatred to get elected. Now, nearly a full year into his first term, Biden is the dog that caught the car. He duped 81 million people into voting for him, and he has no clue what he is

We’ve all heard the slogan “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” and human nature seems to bear out that bit of wisdom. The beginning of the book of Genesis recounts the story of Cain and Abel, two brothers who had a fatal falling out long before guns were invented. The only human remains found in the La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles belonged to a young woman who seems to have been a homicide victim 9000 years ago, again, long before guns were invented. Even after the invention of guns, people continue to kill each other with everything from common household implements to exotic poisons to complicated bombs.

However, Spielberg also decided to forego subtitles to help strictly English-speaking audiences understand what the characters are saying in the Spanish-only and mixed Spanish-English scenes, The Blast reported. Some Spanish-speaking commenters on Twitter were thrilled that Spielberg was excluding English-speakers from understanding the Spanish scenes.
