In yet another example that powerful teachers unions and labor unions enjoy joint custody of Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, the ridiculously named socialist monstrosity “Build Back Better” Act contains a provision that provides a tax credit of up to $12,500 to purchasers of electric vehicles — other than Teslas. Why not Teslas? Three words: United Autoworkers Union. That’s right, America, as reported by CBS News, only electric vehicles made in unionized U.S. factories qualify for the full $12,500. However, if Tesla it must be, your tax credit would be capped at $7,500.

Assuming electric cars take off anytime soon, any tax credit that reaches the masses will be swallowed up in electricity prices. As a bonus, we'll have a lot more blackouts where we can all be at one with Mother Earth.

Allow me to repeat a post from about 3 weeks ago. The federal ggovernment, by law, (Wagner Act of 1935 and Taft Hartley Act of 1947) has a neutral role in allowing workers to decide whether or not to have a union. This change in the tax code looks like a violation of federal law. And every time Dementia Jo talks about creating good paying union jobs, he is violating the law. But since he is leglly incompetent, it doesn't seem to matter.

We celebrate the reaffirming of the significance of the Second Amendment. Finally, we celebrate because using this particular case illuminated and reinforced the God-given right to self-defense for Americans now and in the future, and that’s foundational to justice. Above anything else, the Rittenhouse case is about justice.

As of Thursday, this tale of a magic castle in Colombia (or something) is expected to gross just $26 million over three days and an anemic $38.6 million over the full five-day holiday. Democrats have long wanted the government to parent or co-parent your children, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that President Joe Biden said the quiet part out loud Monday night. Is the administration upset that you might be spending too much time with your family? The statement is also rather vague. The “nearly 2 million” number, I assume, represents the 1.8 million-woman reduction in our labor force during the COVID-19 pandemic. But it’s untrue to claim this loss is only due to women leaving work to care for a family member. There are myriad reasons why the pandemic and government-induced shutdowns could have diminished the female workforce.

I reported earlier today on the announcement about the new COVID variant out of South Africa that immediately had some freaking out because it was supposedly “heavily mutated” and that the spike protein was “dramatically different.” That raised questions about whether immunity and the vaccines would be protective against it. There were also suggestions that it was “highly contagious among young people.” So, it seemed obvious they were gearing up to go crazy over this again. Then we reported on Dr. Anthony Fauci claiming they needed more time and information to decide on whether they needed to be talking about travel bans, that they wouldn’t be implementing a travel ban yet.

In early August Gideon Schreiber and a team of virologists at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel began playing around with the spike protein of the Sars-CoV-2 virus–the protein that allows the virus to enter our cells–to see if they could predict future mutations that could yield dangerous new variants of Covid-19. At the time, Schreiber noted with concern that there were a variety of ways in which the spike protein could evolve. If all of these mutations occurred at once, it could yield a variant that was both extremely transmissible and potentially capable of evading some of the body’s immune defences
