The district attorney whose office let out Waukesha parade killer Darrell Brooks on a $1,000 bond three weeks ago previously admitted he knew his laxed bail policies would lead to killers being set free and murdering others, saying flippantly in a 2007 interview: 'You bet, it's guaranteed to happen.' John Chisolm was elected as Milwaukee County District Attorney in 2007 and he immediately started advocating for lower cash bonds for criminals, like Brooks— a felon with a history of domestic violence charges who was most recently locked up for running over the mother of his children.(Snip)Chisolm's premonition came true in 2013 when convicted drug dealer Jeremiah Schroeder

Comments:

The overall approach of Marxist social policies is not invalidated, but rather proven. And enough stupid people are led by the nose into voting for it.

It now clear that, for various biased reasons, law enforcement is either incapable or unwilling to protect its most vulnerable citizens from demonstrated sociopaths. We are faced with the classic "Clockwork Orange" or "Minority Report" moral choice. We have the scientific sociological tests as well as fMRI evidence to identify about 4 percent of the population who lack the capability to feel empathy for others. The sociopathic personalities should not only be held responsible for what they have done but what they are capable of doing in the future. If we can quarantine individuals to prevent the spread of deadly diseases, we can quarantine individuals because of their deadly mental diseases such as sociopathy. It is no longer acceptable to just shrug and let sociopaths walk among freely to kill are maim our most vulnerable citizens such as children or the elderly.

I isn't just the criminals released killing other people that costs lives...often those on early release themselves get killed. Some verrrry famously by Cops, recently. Perhaps even more damaging is that the Law loses all respect, because it "Does not mean what it says", there are no Bright Lines, merely fungible fuzzy "zones". No clear cut Right/Wrong...leaving people that do nothing right claiming they have done nothing wrong, or others making the claim on their behalf. It leads to a pattern where vast numbers do not equate bad outcomes to something THEY have actually done, but rather the "Getting Caught" by someone who unfairly chose to punish THEM while letting others get away with it...often the "poor put upon perp" has gotten away with it dozens or hundreds of times. Facing prosecution THIS time seems inconsistent and based in Bias from Bad Cops, Bad prosecutors, bad Judges...

That DA was right about one thing. His politically driven "bail reform" proved to be even more dangerous than he predicted. He said, quite casually, that "somebody" for whom he advocated would end up killing another person. Sure enough, that "somebody" killed five innocent people and left an unknown number of bystanders including children, with lasting mental and physical injuries. If he wants to advocate for bail reform, let him do it on his own dime. It's outrageous that communities are providing "woke" Democrat DA's with salaries, offices and resources to advocate for policies they admit will get people killed.

Interior report calls on Biden to raise

The Interior Department on Friday recommended that the Biden administration consider raising royalty rates for oil and gas drilling leasing on federal lands, a move aimed partly at addressing climate change even as the White House also grapples with high gas prices and inflation. In an 18-page report, Interior officials said the royalty rates the government charges private drilling companies haven’t been raised for 100 years and that the current 12.5% surcharge on profits “shortchanges taxpayers.” “The Interior Department has an obligation to responsibly manage our public lands and waters—providing a fair return to the taxpayer and mitigating worsening climate impacts—while staying steadfast in the pursuit of environmental

Fire-ravaged Notre Dame cathedral is being turned into a 'woke theme park' with renovators adding a 'discovery trail' and 'Christianity for dummies' exhibits, critics have claimed. Under new plans, confessional boxes, altars and classical sculptures will be scrapped for trendy art murals, with sound and lighting effects creating 'emotional spaces.' A 'discovery trail' will lead visitors through various chapels, with an emphasis on Africa and Asia, and scripture will be beamed onto the walls in various languages, including Mandarin. One of the sanctuaries will even be dedicated to the environment. Maurice Culot, an award-winning Paris-based architect, told The Telegraph: 'It's as if Disney were entering Notre-Dame.

ICE authorized just 20,858 arrests in the six months after the Biden administration announced new rules restricting which illegal immigrants could be targeted—or an average of just one arrest every two months for each deportation officer. That’s down exponentially from the Trump years, when the rate averaged two arrests each month, and it’s even worse compared to the peak Obama years, when the ratio was about four arrests each month. But even though U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says it’s catching fewer people overall, it’s arresting more aggravated felons, which ICE says is proof the new rules are working to allow officers to focus on the most valuable targets.
