A few weeks ago, John covered a story about former New York Times reporter Nellie Bowles quitting her job at the Gray Lady and writing a newsletter for Bari Weiss’ Substack. That was, as John put it, sort of an inside baseball report for those who closely follow the political media industry, or at least it seemed so at first glance. In her newsletter, Bowles described the shifting attitude in the New York Times newsroom and how she “became suspect” at the paper when she failed to “cheer on” or at least ignore a leftward power shift in both the country and American newsrooms.

More proof of what many of us already have known for decades. NYT is a propaganda operation for the extreme left and will NEVER let a genuine news story stray from the leftist propaganda line.
Propaganda is their product....NEVER straight news.
Nothing new here. They covered up Stalin's genocide in Ukraine in the 1930, too. Liars for the Left then and now.

Liberal rag. They hire activists, not journalists.

Somehow the democrats are financing the NYT's propaganda operation just like they do NPR. That will make a big story one day and let's see them cover that up. They got Joe Biden just like they wanted but I'm afraid it was the booby prize.

Just think about how frightened these leftists were of another term for President Trump. They did anything they could to ensure that he was not elected. I honestly believe that we experienced a coup d’etat disguised as an election and the democrats’ strategy was to attain through a stolen election what they could not otherwise achieve. They needed all hands on deck and they got them.
When Donald Trump won in 2016 that sent them into shock and they began a strategic plan to impede his administration in any way they could. By the time the 2020 election rolled around, they had in place everything they needed to overthrow the government through the election process. Nothing was going to stop them. The consent of the governed be damned. Once they achieved that goal, they set out in earnest to punish this country for daring to believe it was their right to choose their leader which is why today they still persist in their lies, obfuscations and omissions. The NYT is their communist paper of record having abandoned truth for propaganda long ago.

Nellie double crossed the Media Industrial Complex by writing about the real Kenosha. She didn't follow orders and write propaganda. The NY Slimes is what it is, bird cage liner.

Her story about the hardship and horror these riots caused was suppressed. But how many other similar stories were suppressed? Massive chaos and destruction, yet there was very little coverage of small business owners who were devastated and the neighborhoods left in ruins. Also, Bowles said "she was sent to report on the 'mainstream liberal argument' that vandalizing buildings for racial justice was not detrimental because businesses had insurance." Apparently she was upset when she discovered some didn't have insurance
So arson is okay if it's covered. Burning things "for racial justice" is apparently a liberal philosophy. Just burn it down, that's the answer. Another example of wretched liberal logic yet no one is held accountable for these crimes. FJB and the FBI.

The leftest comment about it is ok to burn down a business because they have insurance is an absolute crock of B.S. When a scenario sets up like the riots last year those who actually have proper insurance will be rebuilt. However, cleaning up the mess, finding a contractor who is already booked up and the actually process of rebuilding can easily take a year or more to complete. The areas where the rioting took place would see rate increases in their insurance rates not because their particular business burned down but because the insurance companies see a higher potential the same scenario will happen again.
Most insurance companies take very good care of their customers as they need a good reputation to survive. Although, as in any business there are companies that have terrible reputations for their service. They are the minority and tend to leave a black mark on the industry as a whole.
After 33 years in the business I know who they are and will stay away from them. I will not name names here. However, if they are constantly advertising about the amount of money they save you look out. You may save some premium but, if you have a claim you have a problem.
There is absolutely no justification for anyone to be rioting and willy nilly burning down innocent people’s property which provides their livelihoods, feeds their family and the families of their employees. A special place in h-ll for those that do. They have no Honor or dignity.

Very interesting article. I am finding Democrat leadership, the media, liberal protesters etc. to be very ineffective. If you care to, go to Proverbs 6:6. You can either be an ant or a slug. So many on the Democrat side are sluggish to the point of carelessness and neglect. It has now become deception.
I care and I want to preserve what makes America great! That absolutely means I cannot be a slug. . .

Here's a fact, no matter how many "smoking guns" are revealed about the satanic cult that is the American media complex, the bulk of the uninformed, head-in-the-sand, or radicalized masses will never surrender their loyalty to their masters. Nor will the ministers of the propaganda.

The slimes has been a propaganda operation for many years. Research its founding and history. There is little doubt whose side the slimes is one. And it isn't ours.

A leftward shift at the newspaper? She must be kidding. The Times is and has been so far left it’s location is now the middle of the Pacific ocean.

Nellie did a great job with this article of NYT bias and the power to pick what is ''fit to print'' for us out here in Fly Over Country. Unfortunately, I clicked on the little red sound byte at the bottom of a link in her article. That nearly cause me to go all limp-wristed, so I switched it off.

Let's hope reporters like Bowles and Weiss are able to not only compete with the NYT, but put a big dent in their influence. If the Times keeps pulling this type of stuff, that's what's going to happen.

Why aren't there consequences to reporting fake news or running a mafia type news outlet? Most other professions have standards of practice and rules or they lose their license or face heavy fines. Why isn't there anything like this in reporting business? Perhaps, that may be something for our government to seriously consider.

In the late 1950s I had a news paper route with the local print paper my mother and I both worked there. I found an ad in the local paper I delivered to sell and deliver a minor paper publication called, "The Grit". I answered the ad. I began delivering that paper along with the local newspaper. The Grit was very popular print but only a weekly publication but I continued selling it into the early '60s.
The reason I mentioned this is The Grit was much more a 'news' paper than the New York Times could ever want to be. I always liked the customer who subscribed to the NYT who said he did so because, "they had good crossword puzzles" there you have it. FNYT

I don't know why she is surprised about this. They knew in 2004 I think it was all about Harvey Weinstein's perversions, and thanks to Clooney and Damon going to the publisher, the story got spiked. IIRC, it was Ronan Farrow who was the writer of the stories on Harvey.

The true fallout from the BLM riots is only now beginning to surface...quite aside from any political aims they may or may not have achieved, they created multiple areas of permanent, perpetual urban blight.
In my experience, the burned out areas of Kenosha and other riot-torn cities will never recover (think, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago's south side, etc.) because the insurance companies will not issue coverage to any legit business in those areas. Anyone holding real estate assets in those areas has already lost substantial equity as a result, municipal and state taxing authorities have permanently lost proportional tax base, and any families unfortunate enough to have been living in those areas has seen the quality of their neighborhoods suddenly drop into the category of "hell no, I'd never live there if I had a choice."
And all because a mere handful of activists raised hell, without meaningful opposition from law enforcement, over the very predictable, suicide-by-cop death of a drug-infused, repeat offender named George Floyd.
