Crime has become front and center for people who live in San Francisco, California, and now people are taking their safety into their own hands by enrolling in self-defense courses and installing high-tech security systems in their homes.
According to an August, 2021, report published on the Safewise home security website, San Francisco comes in 6th in the Top 10 most dangerous cities in America, with two other California cities making the list — Stockton came in 9th and Bakersfield 10th.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported on the development:
With San Francisco mired in an intensifying debate over crime and public safety

I thought that we were just supposed to take our beating. Isn't that what the prosecutors told Kyle?

Nope...... what they really need is to buy a gun and get trained on it, or better yet move to another state. Fools.

From the school of “a liberal is a conservative who hasn’t been mugged yet”, could SF residents be getting red pilled?

Self defense courses are fine
A person should know a few defensive and offensive moves. But don't imagine that an older man or any woman can be a match for a strong young thug. TV shows where the "trained" 120 lb woman beats up a 250 lb guy are pure BS.
Have gun, and know how to use it effectively.

I live near there but not there. Used to but not anymore. They voted for this. They wanted this. They got this. White guilt vote put Soros sponsored child of anti-American socialist terrorists in as DA. Now they're trying to recall him.
They're all laughably stupid. They will replace him after recall to next election with someone just like him. The Marxists and their leftist white guilt ridden sheep always double down on failure because more failure is going to work this next time for sure.

A simple, yet very effective defensive move is a punchlike jab putting your rigidly extended thumb into the eye hard will get immediate attention from the attacker, and likely let you escape if you are agile.
Never be polite in a street fight, you may well be fighting for your life.

Public Service Statement: A security system will NOT prevent a break in.. A security system will not protect you. A security system that is NOT armed is decorative. An armed security system is a "Count Down Timer". From the second that an alarm system goes off, the bad guy/s have X amount of time to get in and get out before the authorities arrive. The response time can be minutes to never.
A video system doesn't prevent crime. Video is reviewed AFTER the fact in an attempt to identify the perpetrator and to determine what happened.
Go ahead and have your security systems installed, but get a gun and two or more large dogs...................................

Perhaps history will repeat itself. San Francisco was twice forced to form Committees of Vigilance, in 1851 and 1856, to protect the citizens from the out-of-control criminals and political corruption. "For years, some of the worst elements of San Francisco had held control of the political machine, stuffing ballot boxes, bribing voters, intimidating those that couldn’t be paid off, and electing their own judges." (Legendsofamerica.com) It's getting pretty bad when citizens can no longer count on the police to protect them, but that seems to be the norm in most demoncrat-controlled cities.

There is a reason why Nancy is buying a house in FLA. She helped turn San Fran into a socialist hell hole, but does not want to live there.

I would put quite a bit of time with combat pistol training. No need to bring fists to a gunfight.

San Fran used to be the city every other city in the US wanted to emulate.
It was beautiful.
Then Democrats raised generations of hoodlums to destroy it, in their quest for power.

I'm pretty sure I could still put up a pretty darned good fight but they'd have to catch me on a good day when all my parts are working and give me a little time to warm up and preferably to tape up as well, then once I'm ready, look out here I come.
Given the propensity of violent attackers to fail to provide sufficient accommodations to their victims, I guess I'll stick to armed resistance.

These are the hypocrites that don't like guns, that mock normal gun owners every chance they get. Now, guess what? You suddenly think a gun in your hand could be the only thing that will save you from the reality that YOU created. Too bad, that option will be very difficult, if not impossible for you, being a law abiding citizen of CA. Ironic, karma or just reality vs willful stupidity, in any case you are learning a hard lesson in life.
