On Sunday in Waukesha, Wisconsin, a driver sped his vehicle into a holiday parade. He injured at least 23 people and left multiple people dead, according to city officials.
Karol Markiewicz of the New York Post reports that the police are holding a suspect. She says he is Darrell E. Brooks, a black male in his late 30s.
Nick Arama at Red State provides the following information about the suspect:
If you search the name provided by Markowicz, the person is a convicted felon with a long criminal record who was released on $1,000 cash bail for his latest charges on November 19, just two days ago.

The City of Waukesha has confirmed via its Twitter account that five people were killed and over 40 injured at the community Christmas parade Sunday evening when a man rammed his Ford Escape through barricades and onto the parade route. Officials noted, though, that the numbers of dead/injured may change and that the situation is fluid. Reports immediately following the incident claimed that law enforcement officers were looking for three suspects, but the tweet from the official city account said that “the” person of interest is in custody. As Nick Arama covered earlier, that man is believed

As we reported earlier, there was a horrible attack Sunday night in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which a man driving a red SUV mowed down more than 20 people who were participating in the town’s Christmas parade. There were multiple fatalities but officials announced at a press conference that they won’t be releasing more specifics about even the number of deaths until the families have been notified. Multiple reports, relying on scanner traffic on Broadcastify, claimed that a Waukesha police officer reported that the driver of the SUV was a black male. “There’s a car going westbound approaching the parade course. A red Escape. Black male. I couldn’t stop

A car traveling at high speed plowed into a holiday parade in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin, killing several people and leaving at least 27 others injured, including 12 children.
Terrifying video posted to social media shows a speeding red SUV collide with a group of people marching in the middle of the street during the annual Christmas parade in Waukesha, some 20 miles west of downtown Milwaukee.
A person of interest is now in custody, according to police. Despite earlier reports of gunshots, police said they do not believe the driver was armed.
The head of the fire department said that 11 adults and 12 children

Crime has become front and center for people who live in San Francisco, California, and now people are taking their safety into their own hands by enrolling in self-defense courses and installing high-tech security systems in their homes.
According to an August, 2021, report published on the Safewise home security website, San Francisco comes in 6th in the Top 10 most dangerous cities in America, with two other California cities making the list — Stockton came in 9th and Bakersfield 10th.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported on the development:

On Saturday, Star Wars star Pedro Pascal jumped to his Twitter account to memorialize two of the men who threatened and attacked Illinois teenager Kyle Rittenhouse, insisting they were “murdered.”
The day after Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges brought against him by the state of Wisconsin, Pascal wrote that Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber were “murdered,” not killed in self-defense. “Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 27, murdered August 25th, 2020,” he said, posting a photo of the two men’s faces. “Rest In Peace.” Some fans were shocked that Pascal would be celebrating the lives of two convicted felons, one of who was a level-three sex offender and both

Kyle Rittenhouse, who was recently acquitted by a Kenosha, WI jury on multiple charges, including murder, told Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson that he actually supported peaceful demonstrations and the Black Lives Matter movement.
He also insists he is not racist during a preview of an interview set to air on Monday on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“This case has nothing to do with race,” Rittenhouse said. “It never had anything to do with race. It had to do with the right to self-defense.”
“I’m not a racist person,” he continued. “I support the BLM movement. I support peacefully demonstrating. I believe there needs to be change

Beginning with the George Floyd riots, liberals have generally taken the position that rioting, looting and arson are just fine, as long as they are done in a righteous cause. This was what the anti-Rittenhouse hysteria was all about: how dare he try to interfere with rioting and arson, carried out by Antifa and BLM? Liberals are generally of the view that looting and arson only damage property, and property doesn’t matter. Besides, all that property is insured, right? A New York Times reporter has written that her paper shelved her article on the devastating effect of the Kenosha riots on small business people

Are they sore losers? Maybe, but either way, ABC spent part of Sunday’s Good Morning America hoping that the families of Kyle Rittenhouse’s so-called “victims” would sue him in civil court. This comes after the teen was found not guilty and that he justly used legal self-defense against multiple violent attackers who were rioting. Beyond that, the network also took to denouncing the entire justice system on This Week, during the following hour. After reviewing the ongoing murder trial of Ahmaud Arbery with chief legal analyst Dan Abrams, co-anchor Whit Johnson lamented

The details are sketchy right now, but just minutes ago, someone plowed a vehicle through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, at a very high speed. They escaped leaving the street filled with victims.
Here is the vehicle speeding down the road past one march unit. Here is the vehicle blasting through barriers and making its escape. It sounds like gunshots. Some people are claiming the driver was shooting, others that police were shooting at the car. To me, it looks like the cop in the safety vest at the left of the screen fires the shots. This is ground zero of the incident.

A few weeks ago, John covered a story about former New York Times reporter Nellie Bowles quitting her job at the Gray Lady and writing a newsletter for Bari Weiss’ Substack. That was, as John put it, sort of an inside baseball report for those who closely follow the political media industry, or at least it seemed so at first glance. In her newsletter, Bowles described the shifting attitude in the New York Times newsroom and how she “became suspect” at the paper when she failed to “cheer on” or at least ignore a leftward power shift in both the country and American newsrooms.

The relationship between Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and their respective staffs has been on rocky ground for months. As RedState previously reported, the vice president and her camp have complained about being abandoned, even blaming racism as a possible factor, while the White House has fretted at Harris’ sheer incompetence and inability to garner support on her own. Those tensions have led to lots of speculation about what exactly happens in 2024. Harris is clearly a terrible candidate, something she showed during the 2020 presidential primary, but she’s also the heir apparent until Democrats forcibly remove her from that position.
