Axios, one of the leading D.C.-based corporate media outlets, has admitted that reporting surrounding the now infamous Trump-Steele dossier was “one of the most egregious journalistic errors in modern history,” in an article slamming news-media colleagues for the years of fake news reporting. “…the media’s response to its own mistakes has so far been tepid,” wrote Sara Fischer on Sunday morning, as it becomes increasingly clear to the nation’s journalistic class that not only were they willingly duped for years, but that they have made almost no efforts to correct their outright falsehoods.

They knew from the start that the Steele Dossier was fake new and didn't care. The ends justifies the means, and if a fake story was the means with which to get rid of Donald Trump, then so be it. They ran amok with it and the consequences be damned. Their integrity is now in the garbage can, and let's all pray that they never recover it.

"Error"!! They knew exactly what they were doing. Election tampering on a grand scale that should be prosecuted to the max but probably wont. Suing them out of existence would be the next best thing.

Well, yeah. But they'll admit it on Page 23 in four point type under the six point type obituaries. Or on their 3 am "Midnight News" roundup. And then, in prime time, they'll feature all the clowns and shysters who pulled off that scam (and keep insinuating its truth anyway). Heck, it's not even one of those "I'm sorry (I got caught)" apologies.
When a few of these guys hand back their "awards" and truthfully admit, in prime time, large type, of their error, I might be a little more gracious. Or maybe not.

Orange Man Bad!
So, OK, right?!
I mean, like, no one's going to jail, right?
I mean, like, We'll all do it again the next time

The irony here is that nobody actually believed this. It was used to attack Trump. That was its sole purpose. Five years later and its still in the news. When this first hit the news, my initial reaction was it was all BS being used to attack Trump. It was unbelievable.

Blah, blah, blah....these leftist propagandists knew that this was all political lies at the time, and they gleefully piled on because they are political, not any kind of fair.

Axios, as a "leading D.C.-based corporate media outlet" has a simple choice to make far beyond simply admitting "error"...it can let it go at that, or they can redeem themselves by exposing the entire cabal of "media outlets" that promoted this entire fabricated scandal. As the famous question goes, what did Axios and the industry know, and when did they know it...from the surfacing to the "apology." it would be the story of the millennium for the media to actually come clean, exposing their complete lack of ethics in political coverage. Make the reporters, editors, publishers and sources walk the plank before the public. Make the public see this industry of lies and distortions designed to steer with misinformation and propaganda.
Tell the whole truth and nothing but, Axios, or you're just playing.

They are not journalists. They are propagandists for the Democrat Party. They never go into the streets in search of the facts. They write narratives from their offices.

And even after the mea culpas, the same media will persist in their fantasy of Trump as a Russian collaborator, and continue to ignore the Biden family corruption and ties to CCP. And almost half the American public still won't stop believing what that woke media tell them...

"David Corn/Mother Jones...I'm more focused on the undisputed trump Russia collusion on the coverup"
Covering up something that NEVER happened? Both the Russians and Trump from day ONE have said it never happened, and they were/are the ONLY people that would truly KNOW.
Now the lefty's are claiming that their constant denials of the allegations were/are "collusion"

Yes, we in the media committed these errors daily for 4 years, and by the way we're continuing the error regarding Hunter Biden's laptop, and we really don't know much about how children are immune from Covid so we'll err on the side of injecting them because "brought to you by Phizer" don't you know.

The media was part of a plot to destroy a sitting President.
It was no mistake it was a deliberate action.

Just look at that weasly headline - - it was all just an "error." Yes - - oopsie-doopsie - - we made a bit of an error. Leftists will never admit their corruption and criminality - - because they have no souls and no consciences.
