Trump Dossier Coverage ‘One of the Most
Egregious Journalistic Errors’ in History,
Admits Corporate Media.

Axios, one of the leading D.C.-based corporate media outlets, has admitted that reporting surrounding the now infamous Trump-Steele dossier was “one of the most egregious journalistic errors in modern history,” in an article slamming news-media colleagues for the years of fake news reporting. “…the media’s response to its own mistakes has so far been tepid,” wrote Sara Fischer on Sunday morning, as it becomes increasingly clear to the nation’s journalistic class that not only were they willingly duped for years, but that they have made almost no efforts to correct their outright falsehoods.

Comments:

Just look at that weasly headline - - it was all just an "error." Yes - - oopsie-doopsie - - we made a bit of an error. Leftists will never admit their corruption and criminality - - because they have no souls and no consciences.

They knew from the start that the Steele Dossier was fake new and didn't care. The ends justifies the means, and if a fake story was the means with which to get rid of Donald Trump, then so be it. They ran amok with it and the consequences be damned. Their integrity is now in the garbage can, and let's all pray that they never recover it.

"Error"!! They knew exactly what they were doing. Election tampering on a grand scale that should be prosecuted to the max but probably wont. Suing them out of existence would be the next best thing.

Well, yeah. But they'll admit it on Page 23 in four point type under the six point type obituaries. Or on their 3 am "Midnight News" roundup. And then, in prime time, they'll feature all the clowns and shysters who pulled off that scam (and keep insinuating its truth anyway). Heck, it's not even one of those "I'm sorry (I got caught)" apologies. When a few of these guys hand back their "awards" and truthfully admit, in prime time, large type, of their error, I might be a little more gracious. Or maybe not.

The irony here is that nobody actually believed this. It was used to attack Trump. That was its sole purpose. Five years later and its still in the news. When this first hit the news, my initial reaction was it was all BS being used to attack Trump. It was unbelievable.

Axios, as a "leading D.C.-based corporate media outlet" has a simple choice to make far beyond simply admitting "error"...it can let it go at that, or they can redeem themselves by exposing the entire cabal of "media outlets" that promoted this entire fabricated scandal. As the famous question goes, what did Axios and the industry know, and when did they know it...from the surfacing to the "apology." it would be the story of the millennium for the media to actually come clean, exposing their complete lack of ethics in political coverage. Make the reporters, editors, publishers and sources walk the plank before the public. Make the public see this industry of lies and distortions designed to steer with misinformation and propaganda. Tell the whole truth and nothing but, Axios, or you're just playing.

The 2018 midterm elections sent a shiver through national Republicans not only because several prominent House Republicans lost their seats. It was also where they lost them that concerned GOP party leaders. The Democrats gained 41 seats in the House in 2018. But Republicans consoled themselves by picking up two additional Senate seats. The problem for the GOP was not that they couldn’t win statewide elections. The problem was that they were losing control of one of their primary strongholds: big-city suburbs and exurbs. That spelled trouble for holding on to their House majority. Specific demographic groups had abandoned Republicans in droves, including suburban moms and single women.

Five Republican senators say they will withhold their support from any omnibus spending package due to what they say is a failure to adequately fund border security -- pointing specifically to a lack of funding for the wall at the southern border. In a letter to fellow senators to be sent on Monday, Sens. Mike Braun, R-Ind., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Mike Lee, R-Utah, Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas., say funding proposals released by the Senate Appropriations Committee "fail to provide America’s border agents with the proper security infrastructure necessary to defend America’s southern border from the continued crisis of unrestrained illegal migration."

More than 70 flights transporting migrants from the southern border to Jacksonville have landed in the dark of night in recent months as the Biden administration struggles to empty overflowing border facilities, the office of Florida Gov. The governor's office has scrambled in recent weeks to uncover who is facilitating the mystery flights landing in northern Florida daily, but the Biden administration has refused to disclose any information, one official said.

I’m guessing that this topic didn’t make it onto the agenda during Joe Biden’s recent phone call with Xi Jinping. It’s being reported today that the United States military has had a small contingent of troops, both soldiers and Marines, operating in Taiwan for the past year. The troops have reportedly been conducting training for Taiwanese troops in both ground tactics and small boat operations. Needless to say, the Chinese are not thrilled with this news and see it as a breach of longstanding agreements between America and China. To put it mildly, they’re not taking the news well. "I’ve never heard from Durham, never once. Is Joe Biden plotting with House Democrats to replace Kamala Harris? Sure looks that way, given some curious goings on reported by Fox News's straight-news congressional correspondent, Chad Pergram (snip) The Pergram report follows from another rumor just a day ago of a Biden plan to kick Harris upstairs: Rumors have circulated that Biden may even be considering nominating Harris for a Supreme Court seat if one becomes vacant so that he can select a new Vice President. (snip) What's significant about that is that Joe has decades of friendships, alliances, and honor-among-thieves relationships throughout Congress. Harris, by contrast, has few allies, given her self-serving and ambitious nature.
