Remember how last weekend, the conventional wisdom was that passing the infrastructure bill was going to help President Biden and the Democrats turn things around? Good times, good times. This morning’s new poll from the Washington Post-ABC News demolishes that conventional wisdom into tiny pieces. Majorities of Americans support President Biden’s $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package and a pending bill that would spend nearly $2 trillion on social programs and climate initiatives. Yet despite the backing for these measures, Biden’s approval rating has ticked down to a new low, driven largely by more negative views among Democrats and independents

The Congressional Budget Office said it anticipates publishing a complete cost estimate for U.S. President Joe Biden's "Build Back Better" plan by Friday, Nov. 19.

Panicked Democrats are deep into the blame game as rising inflation and plummeting polls have the White House — and its media enablers — shooting off in every direction.
CNN brought out the heavy artillery on Sunday, firing a barrage directly into the lap of alleged Vice President Kamala Harris, in the form of a nearly 5,000-word hit piece.
Harris has been on a roll lately, like a snowball gaining size and speed right into the political abyss.

President Biden signed the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill into law at a ceremony on the White House lawn on Monday.
“This law is a blue-collar blueprint to rebuild America,” Biden said in a speech prior to the signing.
“Next year will be the first year in twenty years American infrastructure investment will grow faster than China’s,” Biden later remarked. “We’ll once again have the best roads, bridges, ports and airports over the next decade.”
The legislation allocates $550 billion in new spending over five years towards building and repairing roads, bridges, airports, and railways, as well as funds for electric vehicles and charging stations.

The Trump Organization has reportedly reached an agreement to sell the rights to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., for $375 million.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter, that CGI Merchant Group, an investment firm based in Miami, reached an agreement with the Trump Organization for a lease to the Trump hotel located on Pennsylvania Avenue.
CGI Merchant Group has also reportedly landed a deal with Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. to rebrand and remove the Trump name from the property. Once the deal is finalized, the property will be managed by Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria group, sources told the Journal.

On Friday, the attorney for Kelly Meggs, one of the prisoners being held without bail for events on January 6, filed a notice informing the United States District Court for the District of Columbia of a report that guards had negligently or intentionally disbursed a toxic substance in such a way that prisoners were inundated with it, resulting in several being evacuated on stretchers. Watching the news, one sees constant stories about COVID numbers rising, yet again, now almost two years into this pandemic, with COVID hospitalizations in some states higher than they have ever been except for the spike last December. In my state of Colorado, the test positivity rate is almost 10 percent, with 1 in 48 infected and if the current trend continues, this will be the worst COVID spike the state has seen.
