Five Republican senators say they will withhold their support from any omnibus spending package due to what they say is a failure to adequately fund border security -- pointing specifically to a lack of funding for the wall at the southern border. In a letter to fellow senators to be sent on Monday, Sens. Mike Braun, R-Ind., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Mike Lee, R-Utah, Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas., say funding proposals released by the Senate Appropriations Committee "fail to provide America’s border agents with the proper security infrastructure necessary to defend America’s southern border from the continued crisis of unrestrained illegal migration."

Ya think? Have they got any spine to use? Dems say everything we do is "racist". How about we say everything they do is "treasonist"?

How about not supporting it because it is filled with pork that will destroy America.

The wall funding that they have is being spent on contract penalties, paying the contractors to NOT build the Wall that has been paid for and the sections built, laying there uninstalled. If given money, these pukes will not spend one dime of it on actually building the Wall.

NOT a good compromise. The spending bill will further turn us in to the debtor nation we already are.
Any deal with the devil is a bad deal.

I'm sure the sorry dog republicans will get their campaign footage in the can, showing how they fought.
Then they will get a useless promise that at some point in the future democrats will finish the wall.
Then they will vote like a democrat to tank our future financial security.
More of the same.

I'll believe it when I see it, you could give them all a large dose of Ex-Lax at the same time and they all wouldn't excrete at the same time. I am really very sick of these grandstanding repubs in the senate saying one thing and doing another, we can't take much more of this kind of representation. of course, I don't have to worry about representation, I live in Massachusetts, where freedom is rapidly going the same way as the Unicorn. Warren and Markey, now that's a pair that'll beat a Full House any day of the week.

They threaten! I'm sure that has the Democrats attention. The uni-party talks and then pushes the country further to perdition.

Why are they even considering it anyway? I would think a better headline is not supporting it for what it does contain not what it doesn't.

Who do these five republican clowns think they are fooling with this kabuki nonsense. Notice they say they are threatening not to vote for it because no border funds are in it which means they will vote for this attack on America spending bill if more spending is added to it. Message to these five republican senator/traitors. We are awake and are not fooled by your evil, especially you Marco Rubio, who is trying to posture as a real hard core conservative patriot but is really putting on a phony show since he is up for re-election in 2024. Once Rubio is safely re-elected and ensconced for another six years he will immediately "reach across the aisle to his butt buddies, the communist death democrats, and thrust his snout deep into the government trough of corruption.
Liars, thieves, traitors the lot of them.

I keep wondering: with what are they threatened, or how much are they being bribed to NEVER, EVER use the word 'invasion'? Which it clearly is. Reminds me of how so may pols never say an action is 'wrong', but rather 'inappropriate'. Is there a slimy weasel stylebook?

Good for the Pubbie senators! They will NOT support an insane, bloated $4.9 trillion budget - - until it is whittled back to $4.873 trillion.
