Newly publicized documents revealed more details about how the National School Boards Association (NSBA) communicated with the White House before sending out a letter likening concerned parents to domestic terrorists.(snip)According to a timeline provided in an Oct. 12 memo (pdf) sent from NSBA President Viola Garcia to state association officers and executive directors, the organization has been interacting with White House staff regarding the alleged threats of violence since as early as mid-September.(snip)“No one in the White House spoke to me about the memo at all,” Garland told Jordan, who questioned if anyone in the White House asked the attorney general to write the memo.

National School Boards Association
President Viola Garcia
November 12, 2021
"Viola Garcia, president of the NBSA, who wrote the letter, had altered the text to satisfy the White House, according to another email obtained by Fox."
"She worked with Chip Slaven, an NBSA executive, and the White House team 'for weeks', according to a September 29 email from Slaven."
Domestic terrorists at the NSBA working with the MANY lying pukes in the White House. Enemies Of The People.

I was on a school board for 10 years (1990 to 2000). Members received regular "newsletters" from the national association. The articles therein were 180 degrees from my knowledge of reality.

I wonder if Garland ever gave a thought about why parents were so incensed with school boards, instead of just going after the parents like a dog after a meat bone. He seems like a typical shallow democrat.

Tip O’Neill ~ All politics is local. Now we get it. I don’t think we will ever be as nonchalant regarding our school boards again. In their arrogance, they revealed their true selves and parents were appalled and rightly so.
Another quote that is appropriate is, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. Never ever let the state be the sole source of truth or values. Ground your children before they go to school. Teach them your values, patriotism, and critical thinking skills before they venture out in the world. If you don’t someone else will.

I might be a domestic terrorist but the NSBA along with the White House DOJ are the 'enemy of the state'. More malarkey from the administration of malarkey. They all lie to us there's no truth being told to the citizens by this cluster of clowns in Washington.

We took care of business in my town in western Colorado. All three lefty school board candidates were shown the door on November 2nd. They were replaced with home-grown straight up right-minded folks who are born and raised here. Eat your heart out, NSBA.
Like him or not, Mitch McConnell did us a huge favor by blocking the nomination of the Garlicman to the SCOTUS. There's a real problem inside his noggin.

#6, I would guess that Garland is smart enough to know that parents who are protesting CRT and Tranny special privileges are likely to be conservatives and that he thought he had found a way of getting even for not getting that seat on the SCOTUS. Revenge is a powerful motivator.

The thing with school boards is when voting for them its hard to determine which are the commies, I'm usually voting blind and I always feel bad about that. There needs to be a National School Board group to help vet candidates for concerned voters.

Except for the date of the NSBA, there was no new information that has not been printed earlier. I was hoping for more details.

Why does the government always choose crazy-looking, whacked-out women for posts such as this? The actions usually follow the look. Or maybe they make good lightning rods.

Another example of the enemies of WE the people...I can only reiterate...I'm so happy that garland never made it to the Supreme Court...he's a pathetic case of what money can buy in DC...and if he had made it to the supremes...he along with Roberts could have caused real trouble....

#13, to my knowledge, the National School Boards Association is a nonprofit organization which is theoretically independent of the federal government. The leaders of the organization are elected by the members, not appointed by the government. The members of the national association are the state school boards across the country. These state school boards' officers are elected by the local city, county, and school district school boards.
We can think of the NSBA as an organization that recommends school policies nationwide and which lobbies the Congress and the federal bureaucracy for money and influence in support of K-12 education "causes." To be sure, there is collusion between the NSBA and the federal Department of Education: Biden's Education Secretary, Miguel Cardona, appointed Viola Garcia, who is the President of the NSBA, to a federal position within the Department of Education shortly after she sent her infamous letter to the White House, begging the White House and Attorney General to sic the FBI on complaining parents across the nation as "domestic terrorists." They would love to arrest complaining parents and lock them up indefinitely in gulags along with the January 6th arrestees. Garcia was appointed by Cardona to a post on the National Assessment Governing Board, which oversees and sets policy for the National Assessment of Education Progress. This is the board that comes up with all the questions for the national progress exams taken by school students. It has periodically been criticized for the lefty racial and "equity" questions imbedding in those exams.
I agree with #13's observation that these nonprofit school boards associations, on the state and national level, are often led by "crazy-looking, whacked-out women.," though that's an overly generalized observation. These people are almost uniformly education Ph.D's, like "Dr. Jill Biden." These sort of people routinely run for school boards, local, state, and national, based on their university credentials and past involvement with "education issues." They then work their way up the ladder as far as they choose to go. Too few conservatives run for these offices at the local level, but if they did, they would be in a position to slow the rush to lefty causes in grade school education nationwide.
The best possible outcome: decommission and eliminate the federal Department of Education. Grade school education should be locally controlled and funded. Federal education subsidies come with far too many strings attached.

A problem I see is that many grade school teachers have been dedicated Marxists for decades. Our enemies within are immersed in ideology and are willing to sacrifice their life to their evil cause. Many teachers have a chip on their shoulder and want to indoctrinate your children and bring them down to a minimum common denominator. The push for diversity and equity is financed with your own taxes. God, Country, Property and Liberty should be our answer. This is a war against Lucifer and the Teacher Unions.

#15 - One minor correction...you wrote: "These people are almost uniformly education Ph.D's, like "Dr. Jill Biden." " The degrees are Ed.D, MUCH different from Ph.D.

The purpose of the entire organization is to wholly support and fund the National School Boards Association. Not a word about children to be educated. Not a word about interacting with parents and community leaders to see that goal realized. There was lots of agreement about funding and meeting together. IOW, making as many greasy and unproductive footprints on the globe as possible. OP was entirely correct: “Malarkey…" Writ Large!
