My heart breaks for the Marines who served/serve with the integrity, valor, and love of country we know runs through their blood. I can't even imagine how depressing and infuriating it is for them to witness how their Corps is being "transitioned" into such a sickening lot under this regime's leadership. It must feel like a betrayal of the highest magnitude.

The greatest tribute that could be given to any Marine Corps Veteran.
If the Media would ban the term "Former Marine" in stories involving Marines.
Good or Bad stories about Marines, there is no such animal as a "Former Marine".
When you signed on the dotted line to Obey, Honor, and Protect the United States of America you became a Marine forever.
In or out of uniform.

Army & Navy are armed services. The Air Force is a business. The Marine Corps is a religion.

# 7 you are on to something. We are a cult that is functional and a gang that is legal, We are military fundamentalists and the most combat orientated out all branches of the service.

So tell me #10, if they are all what you describe, why they forgot that their oath is to the Constitution and not gas poopy pants? And don't give me the chain of command baloney. Why all the dictators of the world stay in power? Because they have the military on their side.

The US Marine Corps is a part of the US Navy, though other than the day of the Army-Navy football game they tend to want to dismiss that attachment.
As a Naval Officer, I hold the highest respect for the Marines. They are exceptionally committed to their profession, and take pride in their superior marksmanship skill. There is an old story that the army should teach their recruits that if they ever get into a fire fight, they should find the nearest Marine and give him their ammo.
It was an honor to serve side-by side with my Marine brothers and sisters.
Also, medical personnel assigned to Marine combat units are Navy corpsmen--referred to by a recent past president as "Corpse-man".

The Marine Corps is not “part of the Navy”.
It is unique in that it is the only force that operates under another department. It operates under the Department of the Navy but is not part of the Navy.
Marines call sailors “swabbies”. Don’t ever tell a Marine that he’s part of the Navy.

Correction: The Marine Corps is unique in that it is the only independent force that operates under another department.

My Marine Corps is dead. It died when leftist politicians turned it into a social engineering experiment, just like the other branches of the military. It died when they packed it with freaks and perverts and unqualified females. If I have offended anyone with my comments, EXCELLENT. I thoroughly enjoy offending and insulting my enemies. You may all go to hell.

General Chesty Puller was a god to Marines of my late husband’s era (Chosin Reservoir, late 1950) and is still one to today’s Marines. Here is a new podcast from the Claremont Institute that Marines and former Marines and all who love them may enjoy:

Re#5: When I "signed on the dotted line", I took an oath to "preserve, protect and defend the CONSTITUTION of the United States against ALL ENEMIES, foreign and DOMESTIC." The current federal regime and every, single person that supports it, are domestic enemies. If you don't think so, you are wrong.

My husband, a Marine in Viet Nam, has planned a birthday luncheon here in Napa Valley, at a local restaurant. Fifty people will be attending. My husband believes that the Marines saved him from going down the wrong path of life. He joined at 17 and turned 18 on the ship going to Viet Nam.

The Marine Corps Ball has always been a huge deal for Marine officers. My family Marine officer and his wife always send their beautiful photos of themselves dressed to the nines, a glamorous, fun evening.
Except this year. The USMC requires that wives by vaccinated, and my niece will NOT get the shot. Hubby was required on pain of losing his career, but the wife and kids will not be getting The Shot.
He is required to show up by his superiors, and she cannot go.
Miserable, rotten, pukes in charge of the military these days. And flag officers with all the spine of a jellyfish.

#14, the Marine Corps is "the Navy's Army". And I have a number of Marines, living and dead, in my family.

It’s difficult to be excited about the Birthday this year. Under woke Biden sycophant , Commandant Dave Berger the Corps and the rest of the US military participated in the Afghanistan debacle and diminished its readiness through equity promotions and training. Hopefully future commandants will rectify the damage General Berger has done to our Corps before many lives are lost in training and combat.
