As the United States careens off the economic tracks towards stagflation, the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress continue to posit that their proposed massive spending bill will counterintuitively decrease rates of inflation.
This was the argument recently articulated by Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg during his conversation with Chris Wallace on the most recent “Fox News Sunday.”
After Buttigieg praised the “historic” plan’s focus on providing “action on climate before its too late” and massive increased spending on “finally [getting] preschool for every child in this country” and “making childcare affordable for every family,” Wallace pressed Buttigieg on “the issues Americans care about the most,” including inflation.

The Left may not wish to admit it, but the fortunes of a once moribund Donald Trump of January 2021 have now largely recovered—even before the stunning gubernatorial victory of Republican Glenn Youngkin in Virginia.
How and why?
One, Joe Biden did not, as dishonestly advertised, prove to be good Ol’ “Lunch bucket” Joe. He was no moderate from Scranton. Instead, Biden has served as the clueless gun barrel through which hard-core leftists fired off the most unpopular agenda in memory.
Open borders, huge deficits, the Afghanistan catastrophe, looming stagflation, empty shelves, bottlenecked ports, soaring energy prices, toxic critical race theory,

A particularly horrifying Instagram post a few days ago shows our new global reality. It’s a video taken on a crowded street somewhere in Israel where a young person – it looks like a girl in her teens or perhaps early 20s – has collapsed. Her eyes are closed, her head is listing back and to one side, and she looks completely unresponsive as she’s wheeled by paramedics (snip) Off camera, a man in the crowd begins shouting: “This is Pfizer! This is Pfizer! This is Pfizer!” Welcome the “New Normal.”(snip) take a look at a sampling of dozens of stories that made headlines recently:

President Biden responded Wednesday to a report that suggested his administration was mulling whether to make $450,000 payments to immigrants who were separated from their families at the border under former President Trump's administration, calling the reporting "garbage" and saying that it is "not gonna happen."
Following remarks at the White House where he urged parents to get their children vaccinated, Biden was asked by Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy about the Wall Street Journal's report and whether he believes it "might incentivize" immigrants to attempt to enter America illegally. Biden responded, "If you guys keep sending that garbage out, yeah, but it's not true."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) altered the definition of “vaccine” because of concern that its definition did not apply to COVID-19 vaccines, according to newly released internal emails.
The agency updated its definition on Sept. 1.
The definition was formerly, “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease.” It is now, “A preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.”
One CDC employee in August, (snip) said that the definition was being used by “right-wing COVID-19 pandemic deniers … to argue that mRNA vaccines are not vaccines,”

Two researchers say countries should halt the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to pregnant and breastfeeding women after re-analyzing a study performed by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) researchers.
The study in question, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in April, has been used by the CDC and health agencies in other countries to justify vaccination recommendations to pregnant women and new mothers.(snip) was corrected last month after concerns were raised by a researcher in Belgium. The CDC scientists acknowledged they should have made clear that they could not accurately calculate a risk estimate for miscarriages because follow-up data was not yet available for most of the

With the CDC estimating last month that drug overdose deaths rose over 30 percent in the first twelve months of the pandemic to nearly 100,000, Sam Quinones’ outstanding new sequel to his award-winning 2015 book Dreamland: The True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic is definitely timely.
Quinones’ The Least of Us: True Tales of America and Hope in the Time of Fentanyl and Meth brings us up to date on the disastrous drug developments of the past half-dozen years.(snip)Fentanyl is so cheap that drug dealers have taken to sprinkling it into most of the other drugs they sell,

Today, for the first time in more than a decade, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral argument in a case involving the Second Amendment. While the appeal in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen concerns the constitutionality of New York’s restrictive concealed-carry permitting system, the high court’s analysis will prove as important as the ultimate outcome.
Here’s what you need to know.
The Second Amendment provides: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Although one of our first freedoms, the Second Amendment remained neglected in the realm

Trash is piling up, and fire stations are shutting down in New York City, as thousands of municipal workers defy Mayor Bill de Blasio’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate. The gibbering and cognitively disconnected teleprompter reader who currently occupies the White House reads from a script today prepared for him by people who know he is disposable.
That is the most logical reason why Joe Biden could brazenly attempt to claim today that “wages have gone up faster than inflation.” WATCH:(Video)According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) in September alone inflation:
“increased 4.4 percent from one year ago. Energy prices increased 24.9 percent while food prices increased 4.1 percent. ” (link)
Meanwhile according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, wages increased 0.7% year over year. Inflation is six times higher than wage growth. (Image)

There is something about the scenes emerging from Cop26 that seems to encapsulate the insanity, vanity and general vacuousness of the modern world perfectly.
It’s a carousel of self-obsessed, bombastic, virtue-signalling hypocrites, from Sleepy Joe Biden snoozing on the job while his fleet of gas-guzzling limousines sit with engines idling out the back, to Nicola Sturgeon ambushing Sir David Attenborough for a selfie.
Then there’s Greta Thunberg throwing her toys out of her pram (by the way, Greta, your dismissal of world leaders’ ‘blah blah blah’ on green issues was only quite funny the first time; now it’s just annoying) to Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, spouting unutterable nonsense about Nazis.

When the former president of the college where I taught retired three years ago, I asked a faculty member about the new retiree’s plans. (snip) the ex-president and his wife were headed for Washington, D.C., where they planned to live in Kalorama, near Barack and Michelle Obama. They apparently venerated the Obamas, and the closer they could settle near the $8.1 million dwelling of their leftist icons, the happier they would be.
I jokingly reminded my interlocutor that the Obamas spend at least part of the year in their $11.75 million house on Martha’s Vineyard. This would mean that the former college president and his spouse would be deprived of
