Glenn Youngkin's Win Officially Ends the
Clinton Era in American Politics

Original Article

Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin was fond of claiming on the campaign trail that he would end Terry McAuliffe’s 43-year political career. He did so Tuesday night in emphatic fashion, after McAuliffe ran a tone-deaf, smug campaign in a blue state. (snip) We should not forget that McAuliffe’s role in Virginia politics was mostly due to his close friendship with Bill and Hillary Clinton. McAuliffe was co-chairman of the former president’s 1996 reelection campaign, chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2001-05, and chairman of Hillary Clinton’s failed 2008 presidential campaign.

This was a man who bragged about leaving his wife and newborn in the car on the way home from the hospital so that he could attend a Dem fundraiser.

Is the vote counting done? I don’t believe this thing over yet. Dems are busy scouring and scrounging for more votes, no doubt. Has terry the but pirate punk conceded? A concession in an election takes honor. Punk never had and never will have honor. So I’ll wait a few days before I feel any elation.

#2, I hope Chelsea disappears, but if she runs, she will be given a guaranteed congressional seat in the NYC area. But her income from the remnants of the Clinton Foundation will probably keep her out of Congress.

In just five years, the percentage of Republicans with at least some trust in national news organizations has been cut in half – dropping from 70% in 2016 to 35% this year. This decline is fueling the continued widening of the partisan gap in trust of the media. Nearly eight-in-ten Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents (78%) say they have “a lot” or “some” trust in the information that comes from national news organizations – 43 percentage points higher than Republicans and Republican leaners (35%) – according to a new Pew Research Center survey conducted June 14-27, 2021.
