West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin held a press conference moments ago to say he’s done with the insufferable chicanery within the legislative social spending bill, also called the “human infrastructure bill” or Biden’s “build back better” bill, or the “reconciliation bill”. Nancy Pelosi has been sitting on the previously passed $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill that was passed by the House and Senate {Go Deep} but has refused to allow a vote until a bigger social spending bill -constructed using the reconciliation process to radically change the U.S. by the AOC radical communists in congress- can be attached.

Reposting because the original looked like it got cutoff, and is now gone. Good article, well worth a read.

I have been as skeptical of Manchin as anyone - fully expecting an imminent cave in every day. I am beginning to think that maybe he has just been pushed too far by the communist far left, finally, and has said 'Enough'. I wonder is we are going to see a resurgence of the few more moderate types who are sick of the likes of Taco Barbie and her bevy of slags. Time will tell.

A Cook County judge on Monday told Chicago leaders that they cannot force police officers to be vaccinated by year end, emphasizing that you can’t “undo a vaccine” and “meaningful arbitration” must commence. In a suit challenging the city’s vaccination mandate, Judge Raymond Mitchell told Chicago Police Department’s labor unions and city leaders to continue to negotiate an agreement on COVID requirements and restrictions, while staying the December 31 vaccination deadline for officers.

More than half a million border crossers and illegal aliens have been released into the United States interior since January, predominately by President Joe Biden’s administration, newly released data reveals. In a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) revealed the extent to which the Biden administration is operating likely the most expansive Catch and Release process for border crossers and illegal aliens. Johnson writes that “limited data” provided to his office by DHS found that the agency had released “at least 500,000” border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior since the beginning of the year. Biden took office on January 20.

Despite 55 percent of respondents saying they were following negotiations about the bills at least somewhat closely, only 31 percent said they know a great deal or good amount about what's in the legislation. The survey showed that 32 percent of Americans thought the bills would hurt people like them compared to 25 percent who thought it would help them.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., said that she will vote against her party's infrastructure bill if it comes to a vote Thursday because Democrats have not provided enough details on what will be in the larger social spending bill. "I don't see how ethically I can vote to increase U.S. climate emissions," Ocasio-Cortez said Wednesday, noting that a "framework" of President Biden's "Build Back Better" plan isn't enough detail to sway her vote on infrastructure. "We have had a framework for six months. We need text."
