As gas prices soar across the country, President Joe Biden attempted to explain the benefits of electric cars. Predictably, his explanation was more confusing than it was helpful.
Biden was giving a speech Thursday describing his two massive spending sprees, also known as the Build Back Better plan and infrastructure bill.
According to a White House transcript, Biden was describing the need to replace buses and cars with electric alternatives like rail and electric cars.

250-350 mile range is without A/C or radio or4 GPS or.......Heater.
Electrics rely on an electric grid that Liberals are destroying.

He never mentions the cost of charging the battery either. Does everyone think it's free? Like everything else, electricity rates are rising fast.

If you told this demented fool NASA was planning a manned mission to the sun but at night to be safe he would believe it. And say it cost zero (in a whispet) dollars.

I can understand why government types are all in on electric cars. Every mile they drive around ( or are driven around ) is paid for with taxpayer dollars. I cannot understand why the auto companies are all in. This poll shows that people do not want to buy them.

And this report says electric cars are actually more costly to operate than internal combustion cars.

Don’t forget, everyone who buys a battery in their pollution free car helps Biden’s friend, China, who makes most of the batteries. Meanwhile we sell them coal, which when burned in China doesn’t cause global warming or air pollution. Its like Magic! And the electricity used to charge them comes from the windmills made in China and solar panels, guess where they are made. Of course, natural gas from the Keystone pipeline that Biden built helps a lot.

Can't predict the future. When I saw my first cell phone I said to myself that I would never have one. But now it's part of my life. Doubt I'd ever get an electric car. Around town it might not be that much of a problem. But on long trips it would be a nightmare. Imagine what the wait would be like at the charging stations.Even worse there would be a picture of Quid Pro Joe at each station.

Can you imagine traveling across States like Nebraska and South Dakota during a January blizzard in a electric motor vehicle that must have its battery recharged every couple of hundred miles requiring a stop for a three and a half hours recharge where ever you can find a charging station where you may have to wait in line for hours in the cold until a pay for recharging receptacle becomes available. Anyone who has traveled across the middle of the USA in the winter knows that will not work as doing that is completely different than Biden has personally experienced riding on an AMTRAK train from Delaware to DC and back everyday.

The 250-350 mile range only applies to some EVs. Many are only good for less than 100 miles. Might be ok for retirees and short, city trips but not practical for most of us. I have a couple of friends with hybrids but there again they are still using gasoline and expensive batteries that require some heavy manufacturing with accompanying pollution. I also notice the weather reports always have some tips when you are in the path of a hurricane like making sure you have a full tank in your escape vehicle. I sure wouldn’t want to have to flee in an EV that might not get you far enough away from a class 4 hurricane.

What do you do when you come upon a gas station with a sign that says 'Last Civilization for 300 Miles' and your electric car can only go 250? Plow ahead, Liberals!

Worthless cars. Short range, slow recharge, and ultra expensive to buy....even with big taxpayer subsidies.

Biden's wet green dream is going to be a nightmare.
Where does he believe the electricity for these charging stations is going to come from.
Perhaps some day you can drive an electric car coast to coast, if you are lucky in about 2 weeks.

Great. So the highest-profile proponents of this unicorn-power technical marvel appear to be a mentally crippled political hack with no grasp of what powers the American economic engine, a retread Tennessee used-car grifter with a hypocritical carbon footprint and lavish lifestyle, and an emotionally/mentally challenged foreign teen/young woman who sees doom around every corner and emotes like an out-of-control psychotic. Add that some of the top techie "geniuses" also seem to be borderline disordered personalities (or worse), and we have definitely managed to pin our collective cultural and national hopes to the "best and brightest"...NOT.
Assuming any company would manufacture them, few would BUY these little flashlights if the taxpayer didn't get gouged for several thousand dollars for every one that ends up in a suburban driveway or corporate fleet.

Joey is so senile that he thinks going across our country is only 250 miles. This putz needs to be impeached. I now await Jen Pasaki to pretend to rewrite Joey's speech.

#2, it is free in some places. I was visiting my daughter in Virginia last month and the local Giant and Whole Foods supermarkets have free charging stations in their parking lots. Since the majority of electricity comes from coal, how can this be and why isn’t gasoline for my car, which gets 38MPG free?

Well, Resident Brandon was always a two-faced rattlehead, even before he lapsed into senility so I don't think anyone expected his explanation to make any sense.
