Alec Baldwin said Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins 'was my friend' and revealed he 'took her to dinner with the director' on the first day of shooting when he stopped to talk to photographers in Vermont. Baldwin was with his wife Hilaria, who appeared to be filming the interaction, when the couple pulled over to talk to photographers in Manchester, Vermont. The couple spoke for roughly four minutes. He said: 'A woman died. She was my friend.' 'The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel, the director,' he said. Here's my prediction: the armorer and the assistant director will be strung up. Baldwin will skate. Once he knows he won't be charged, he'll be even more self-righteous and obnoxious about guns and gun owners. It is already starting - as a previous poster noted, he acts like he wasn't the one who shot her dead.

Alec Alec Alec. You poor misguided ignorant twit. You..... the producer, is the person responsible for ensuring that everyone involved in your production follows the laws and rules currently in place. Neither you, nor anyone else in your production followed any of, or enforced any of said laws and rules. You, the person actually handling the weapon is the last responsible, and the person most responsible for checking the weapon and following proper safety procedures. Live rounds should never have been on the set The "murder" weapon should never have been loaded with live ammunition, let alone be used for "target practice" earlier that same day. Alec...... you and your crew failed in every possible way with the result being an entirely preventable death and injury. This wasn't an accident. This was the result of gross and arguably criminal negligence. What Alex wants is new rules where "HE" isnt responsible.

I have read several times now that Baldwin has admitted he was demonstrating how he would draw the gun from his holster when they were actually filming. Why would Baldwin, a noted international firearms expert put his finger on the trigger while demonstrating drawing a gun? Not many Ukrainians have any love for communism, so did a previous conversation on politics result in Baldwin's decision to shoot her dead? If so, the FBI/DOJ will surely give him a pass.
