On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hallie Jackson Reports,” White House National Climate Adviser Gina McCarthy responded to concerns that increased regulations will cause increased gas and oil prices by stating “There’s a place for” regulation and “We’re going to use it.” McCarthy also touted hearings with oil executives on Capitol Hill as “a day of reckoning” for the oil and gas industry.
Host Hallie Jackson asked, “[T]hat big oil hearing on Capitol Hill, significant, frankly, historic that they’re all coming together.

Who didn't see this coming? Hopefully 2022 mid-terms bring us relief from these Communists, but I'm not holding my breath.

Here is a condensed version of the article:
“Big oil has denied climate change for too long, damnit. They’re going to ADMIT there is a climate crisis, and we’re going to help them admit it by regulating them to our specifications. Because we’re smart. We’re trying to save the planet. And by George, we’re in CONTROL!!”

Our government is now in the hands of punks whose world view was shaped watching Captain Planet and reading pamphlets from planned parenthood.

It ain’t gonna happen Gina! You talk tough, but someone is going to sit down with you and explain about donors while the big oil guys turn the money spigot to a trickle. They will pay her lip service, and. she will get something out of this, but it won’t amount to all that much. Read her comments again. She’s leaving the door open.

We are not the country defined by the constitution, we are the country defined by our actual behavior. Saying we are still a constitutional republic doesn't make it any more so than saying Rachel Levine is a girl.
We fell for word games when they rebranded laws as "regulations" and circumvented the brilliantly established legislative process. When you run afoul of a regulation you are presumed guilty and they can take your freedom and property for noncompliance. Tell me how that's not the law?
I think a significant majority of the nation even democrats have figured out our country is for sale and our politicians are corrupt and get rich selling favors. Most of us are clueless as to how in a system of equal protection under the law can facilitate the sale of favor. Well it can't, but "regulations" came to the rescue. Presto changeo we are a different nation entirely through the magic of rebranding. And we fell for it.
I not divert with much, but the power to tax has also been abused to serve as a mechanism for favor and personal enrichment and a means of establishing boundaries meant for the legislative process.

A great many of the nations middle aged remember the gas lines back in the 70's. Not popular then, sure not popular now. Especially since this is deliberately being brought about by JoeBama.

I made the mistake of watching that MSNBS interview. It’s all about investment..my money in their pocket. No more room for climate deniers their eyes are now wide open. Yep that is why California is allowing the native Americans to start doing controlled Forrest burns to reduce fuels. We’re in the Paris accords full speed i hope you can catch-up… oh yes if we keep funding the clean energy programs around the world their economies will surpass ours! Tune town, the emperor is still naked!

This right here is a prime example of why you never give government at any level the authority to set prices, or wages, or interfere in business. Speaking of which, where's the constitutional authority to do this? Beuller? Beuller? .....

Now that we are oil dependent, will the fuel get to port and be processed and delivered in a timely fashion?
Do you think we are on the path of fuel rationing?

How about gasoline ration cards to knock out “White Privilege” at the nation’s gas stations in the name of “equity” as it is clear the White people are using up a lot more gasoline than oppressed Black people, can’t have that in the Joe Biden era.

I should have said that the administration is using this threat of regulation for the purpose of bribery. Big Oil will pay up and everything will return to the usual drilling and fracking.

They have decided that the best way to make you not want you nice gas or diesel car is to make fuel extremely expensive, and eventually almost impossible to purchase.

Think the Green New Deal was AOC's idea? It came from her Marxist backers. Marxism is Government control over all food, energy, transportation, property, industry, education, and Proletariat (working class) labor. The Proletariat has never, ever, fared well under Collectivism. Only the elites do. Marxism tricks the Proletariat into fighting for their own enslavement, and is designed to very effectively transfer power to the top, not the bottom. History is full of hundreds of millions of murdered naive Proletariat that believed big centralized government could be altruistic.
