Prosecutors cannot call those shot by
Kyle Rittenhouse 'victims,' a judge has ruled

Prosecutors in the criminal trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who shot and killed two protesters last year in Kenosha, Wis., will not be able to refer to the people he shot as "victims," a judge has ruled, while defense attorneys may be able to call them "arsonists" or "looters." In a proceeding about the ground rules for the upcoming trial, prosecutors and defense lawyers debated whether certain language, witnesses or evidence would be allowed. The trial begins next week. "The word 'victim' is a loaded, loaded word. And I think 'alleged victim' is a cousin to it," Judge Bruce Schroeder said on Monday

How about rioters? Arsonists? The one had a handgun in his hand, aiming it at Kyle....THAT is an 'violent attacker'.

This is a good--and fair--article. I'm shocked that it came from NPR. Having taken time to read the article, I note that the judge has indeed allowed the defense attorneys to refer to the attackers as "arsonists, rioters," if the defense introduces evidence proving that they were engaged in this behavior. I hope this kid gets off with a quick "not guilty" verdict. Shooting an Antifa thug who is swinging a heavy skateboard aimed at your head is justified self-defense.

If nothing we currently don't know comes out then I'd like to know why he was arrested and held to begin with. If what I believe I know and saw on video is accurate and a complete account of events, his arrest and incarceration has been completely against the law. Kyle Rittenhouse is a political poisoner.......Change My Mind..

After reading this from the judge, I am beginning to think the kid might stand a chance of coming out of this in one piece. Kyle rid the world of at least one registered sex offender, and I cannot be unhappy about that. I notice the media is still ignoring the fact the kid stopped the gas station explosion. I think the media is disgusting that they are even slightly dismissive of the heroism of this young man.

As the terminology should be don't label the riotous arsonist as anything else. I take offense in the article that Rittenhouse shot 'several' people that night (like shooting into a crowd of people). Rittenhouse shot three rioters killing two attackers wounding one who had a handgun who was going to shoot Rittenhouse. It was self-defense the videos will prove it.

I was watching the live stream from Kenosha that night and saw Kyle several times, including his initial interaction with the police where they gave him a bottle of water and a brief interview segment where he explained what he was doing there. I started watching earlier in the evening when the rioters were attacking the courthouse. Later, I watched the initial altercation at the gas station with the raving Rosenbaum and the gang of rioters who tried to set a dumpster fire. In real-time, I saw him flee the crowd and run up the street towards a police barricade and the events where he was attacked by Huber and then accosted by Grosskreutz who produced his own weapon. Kyle even attempted to surrender to police immediately afterward but they were focused on quelling the disturbances. I have to assume that the defense and the prosecutors both have access to the totality of the video streams from that night. Based on what I observed that evening on that video stream, Kyle acted in self-defense and would likely be dead now had he not acted (borne out by Grosskreutz's statements at the hospital immediately after). greyseal

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) touted Florida’s milestone of reaching the lowest coronavirus case rate in the nation on Wednesday, highlighting the “overreach” of vaccine mandates. “Without mandates or lockdowns, COVID-19 cases in Florida have decreased 90% since August,” DeSantis said in a press release. “In addition to cases, hospitalizations have plummeted in our state.” “This has been accomplished by making monoclonal antibody treatments and vaccines widely available throughout our state while protecting Floridians from government overreach,” he added.

Virginia parents speaking to Fox News on Wednesday condemned some recent comments by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe as "insulting" and "dismissive." Last week, McAuliffe dismissed parents' concerns about education in the commonwealth as being part of a "divisive tactic" "generated by his Republican opponent, Glenn Youngkin. Last Thursday, a CBS News reporter asked McAuliffe, "If you win, how are you going to work with those parents who have concerns about how things are being taught in schools across the commonwealth?" "Let's be very clear here," McAuliffe replied. "This is all generated by Glenn Youngkin."

Consider the source on this, but also consider that it’s not far off from other polling on next year’s midterms. The NRCC’s battleground poll shows Republicans now leading on the generic congressional ballot, a metric in which they normally trail even while winning significant seats. In fact, the gap in this poll mirrors the same gap found earlier this month in Quinnipiac’s national poll: According to a new poll released Tuesday by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), the GOP has a 43 percent to 40 percent lead over Democrats with registered voters in the generic ballot across 85 potential battleground districts. Those results mark an improvement

The negotiations over the “build back better” bill continue, and there’s more bad news this evening for the progressive wing. Over the past day, they’ve already had to endure the loss of the new IRS reporting provisions, which would have enabled government monitoring of the bank accounts of most Americans. Now, another big priority has been struck. This time, it’s Pete Buttigieg’s pet issue, paid family leave. In what some might describe as ironic, even as the Secretary of Transportation ludicrously heads into his third month of paternity leave in the middle of a supply chain crisis, Democrats on Capitol Hill were unable to deliver

Yes, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is a man on a mission. Moreover, the popular Florida governor doesn’t suffer fools gladly — be those fools his fellow Republicans, left-wing loons, or anywhere in between. A fired-up DeSantis went full metal attack mode at a Washington, D.C., Republican dinner on Tuesday night, effectively telling spineless Republican politicians to get hop aboard the train — or get the hell out of the way. “We don’t have time for boneless wonders,” he said. Even better, DeSantis blistered the “fake news” media, beginning with the never-ending “Russian collusion” nonsense in the 2016 presidential election win of Donald Trump, as transcribed by BizPac Review.

President Joe Biden tried to tie Republican candidate for Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin to former President Donald Trump at a rally for former Gov. and current Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe. Biden spent most of his time talking about Trump, not McAuliffe and Youngkin — echoing the Democrat strategy to insert Trump into the race. “How well do you know Terry’s opponent?” Biden asked, “Just remember this. I ran against Donald Trump and Terry is running against an acolyte of Donald Trump.” The president also spoke at length about the January 6th protests on Capitol Hill, painting a dark picture of the protests with his rhetoric.

Our current secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, is busy trying to find a way to tax wealth without calling it taxing wealth. She has eyes on taxing unrealized capital gains. What this means simply is taxing people for money they have not earned or received. That's it in a nutshell. That definition should leave even those who have never had a course in accounting or finance shaken. Not only is Janet Yellen considering this, but the Democrat party is on board as well.
