Thousands of celebrated children’s books, such as Dr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat, have been branded with trigger warnings by Cambridge University for alleged racism.
A taxpayer-funded project to digitise texts at Cambridge’s Homerton College will be slapping warnings on potentially “harmful” words, phrases, and pictures “relating to slavery, colonialism and racism”.
The woke endeavour is partially being funded by a grant of £80,633 in taxpayer money from the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council, according to the Daily Mail.

As a very young elementary student I was lucky enough to have Dr. Seuss come to our school and read us the "Cat in the Hat". And our school was given a supply of these books to be companion readers along with "Dick, Jane and Sally". Plus, I love "Little House on the Prairie" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" is my favorite book of all time. And yet, having read these "socially poisoned" books many, many times I have never wanted to disparage blacks, or Indians, or drive around on a Saturday night with my trunk loaded with guns, knives, ropes, matches and gasoline to hunt these people down and kill them or at least to scare the crap out of them. This is insane not to mention plain ignorant and stupid. I wish these people would spend at least a bit of time on some of the lyrics of the rap artists which cannot be printed here. I don't believe I have seen "Dick, Jane and Sally" on any of these lists but I am sure they will make the cut. White kids, married parents, a dog and cat. Ohhhh, evil personified.

Now why would the leftists want to cancel the only books that AOC and Maxi Pad Waters are capable of reading cover to cover?

Leftists think they own the world and get to boss everyone around. They think of themselves as virtuous, when they are the most evil among us. They don't build very much, unless they happen to steal someone's idea or their stuff, and when they do own something, its purpose is to help them run things and boss people, not provide a service.
They're good at tearing down, though. They don't like to compete, so they destroy the competition. Notice, those who want to cancel Dr. Suess want to cancel him because they can't produce anything that will compete on his level. They want to simply clear the shelves so we don't have any options besides their garbage. They want to indoctrinate children to their perversions with force.
I bought several copies of Dr. Suess books and gave them away this past year. If our side ever gets back in power, we have to go ham on everything they've done; tear down their crap at least as aggressively as they've torn down ours. No more Rodney King. Anybody with a hint of a marxist past gets cancelled, and we need to expose them and be rid of their fake history. MLK, for example. Yeah, I wrote it. MLK, JFK, you know where I'm going. They want truth; let's give it to them in spades. I'm so sick of these cretins, who are the minority, dictating what the majority can and can't do. Their evil and power has gone to their heads, and both have to go.

Should Libs be using such violent word as “trigger” ? They have replaced the word “shot” with the annoying “jab” because shot was too upsetting.

What's next, Harry Potter? Mudbloods vs purebloods. Ministry wizards vs Dumbledore's Army. You can take any book off the shelf and find something offensive, racist or unpleasant in it.

In second grade, teacher sent me home with a note that my parents should discourage me from checking out only two books from the library: The Cat in the Hat, and Madeline. Of course, they didn't discourage anything about my reading material. Books are/were a passion from then on. Dr. Seuss Day was celebrated at my son's elementary school. Did anyone mention that Seuss wrote/drew for Warner Bros?
