Nearly 100 employees in the Yale New Haven Health system lost their jobs Monday because they failed to get a COVID-19 vaccine, officials said. The employees were on suspension and had until Monday to get vaccinated following a June 30 mandate announcement by Yale New Haven Health, and other hospital-based health systems in Connecticut, according to reports. "We did pretty well, I think, all things considered," Associate Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Ohm Deshpande told the New Haven Register. "We’re at 94 at this moment who are subject to termination. They’re getting notified today that they’re being separated from the organization."(Snip)The terminated employees worked in nursing,

Now we have legions of petty tyrants at organizations nationwide who relish the power of depriving people of their livelihoods for the crime of not bending down to kiss the needle.

This is what tells me that articles about how the Democraps are terrified of losing in 2022 are total BS. They have no concern at all for the consequences of ruining the livelihoods of millions of people. If they were concerned, they would have backed off of this crap. They are going for broke, because its clear sailing ahead. Onward, communism.

How does terminating these people, who probably worked through the pandemic unvaccinated, improve health care? It will not prevent transmission of Covid. It will not prevent them from getting Covid. The only thing that would happen if the terminated staff were to be vaccinated would be that the power mongers in control would have the satisfaction of knowing that they were able to beat their staff into total submission to their will.

Washington—The Biden administration has approved a significant and permanent increase in the levels of food stamp assistance available to needy families—the largest single increase in the program’s history. Families in October have seen the average benefits for food stamps (officially known as the SNAP program) rise more than 25 percent above pre-pandemic levels. The increased assistance is indefinite to all 42 million SNAP beneficiaries. The aid boost was first reported by The New York Times and the details were confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Department of Agriculture. They were formally announced by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. The aid boost is being packaged as a major revision

Boris Johnson last night piled pressure on his scientific advisers to cut the waiting time for booster jabs from six months to five. If a decision is made immediately, nearly 9 million more Britons will become eligible for a third dose of the vaccine. Concern has been growing that the rollout of the Covid booster scheme has been far too slow, putting the public at risk as cases rise. At present, over-50s and those with health problems are invited for their jab six months after their second dose. Former health secretary Jeremy Hunt yesterday called on ministers to cut the waiting time to five months.

President Biden accelerated the regulatory state on his first day in office by ordering agencies to consider aspirational but vaguely defined goals and benefits when imposing new rules on businesses large and small. The order greenlighting regulations even when the benefits “are difficult or impossible to quantify” sent shudders down the spines of CEOs. They fear business growth will be smothered in pursuit of vague objectives such as “human dignity” and “the interests of future generations.” “It is the most aggressive thing I’ve ever seen by an administration,” said Doug Holtz-Eakin, president of the American Action Forum, a right-leaning economic think tank. “It’s one thing to put out

China carried out a second test of what is believed to be a hypersonic orbital missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead earlier this year, intelligence sources have claimed. The new test is believed to have taken place on August 13 and involved a similar 'hypersonic glide vehicle' to one launched into space on board a Long March rocket back in July, which was first reported earlier this week. Beijing has acknowledged one of the tests, claiming it launched a 'peaceful' civilian spacecraft. But analysts believe the craft can actually be tipped with a nuclear warhead which would be able to evade missile defences. Even government scientists are struggling

The federal vaccine mandate will soon apply to Justice Department employees, contractors and visitors to its buildings, but one group it won’t apply to is illegal immigrants showing up for their deportation case hearings. The migrants are deemed an exception to President Biden‘s mandates because they are seeking a public benefit or service. That means they will not have to prove they’ve been vaccinated or show a negative COVID-19 test from the previous three days. Their attorneys are also exempt. Those exemptions aren’t sitting well with immigration judges and other employees who will have to interact with the unvaccinated. They say allowing in unvaccinated and untested people defeats the purpose

There’s a cohort of hardcore populists within the House GOP whose loyalty to Trump is such that they’ll eagerly parrot any conspiracy theory he likes but most GOP reps who are asked about this tend to mumble something noncommittal about “election integrity” and “unanswered questions” before changing the subject.
