Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday although he is fully vaccinated, according to a spokesperson for the agency.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson Marsha Espinosa said Mayorkas “tested positive this morning for the COVID-19 virus after taking a test as part of routine pre-travel protocols.”
“Mayorkas is experiencing only mild congestion; he is fully vaccinated and will isolate and work at home per [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] protocols and medical advice. Contact tracing is underway,” Espinosa added.
The diagnosis came after Mayorkas attended the Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service at the Capitol alongside President Joe Biden on Sunday. It’s not clear

First things first. (snip) It is an unfortunate situation to see Oleg Deripaska receiving the Julian Assange treatment. Yes, that is exactly what is happening today as the institutionally corrupt FBI and DOJ attempt to throw a bag over Deripaska, in order to cover up their previous operations.
(snip) Deripaska is not stupid, he knows these players and knows exactly what game the corrupt U.S. officials are playing. It was transparently obvious over the past few days that something was happening in the background. The Fourth Branch of Government, intelligence apparatus, Dept of Justice, FBI, and media enablers -writ large- began conducting an information warfare operation.

The City of San Francisco and Mayor London Breed announced a vaccination mandate in August for any business offering indoor dining. According to the order, all businesses are required to ask for proof of vaccination from customers. San Francisco was the second city in the country, behind New York, in making such a regional mandate.
The owners and operators of In-N-Out burger, refused to be vaccination police and discriminate against their customers. The City of San Francisco shut them down. The restaurant still offers outside seating and take out, but they will not participate in vaccine checkpoints.

Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson issued a legal opinion saying that his office won’t seek disciplinary action against doctors who prescribe hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin as off-label medicines to treat or prevent COVID-19, as long as they are not engaging in any misconduct.
The opinion (pdf), issued on Oct. 14, was in response to a request from Dannette Smith, CEO of the state’s Department of Health, which licenses and disciplines doctors. Smith asked whether it would be “deemed unlawful or otherwise subject to discipline” for doctors to prescribe ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, or other “off label use” medications to treat or prevent COVID-19.

President Joe Biden’s nominee for a top banking post in his administration is refusing to give the U.S. Senate her thesis on Karl Marx, lawmakers say.
Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), the top Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, asked Saule Omarova earlier this month for the document and other papers she omitted from a disclosure package that’s standard for nominees to submit to the Senate. Toomey asked for the documents by Oct. 13.
Omarova did not hand over the papers, Amanda Gonzalez Thompson, a spokesperson for the Republicans on the panel, told The Epoch Times in an email.

Southwest Airlines told its employees that it will delay a plan to place workers who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 on unpaid leave if they haven’t yet obtained a medical or religious exemption.
The Dallas-based carrier confirmed reports about the memo to news outlets on Tuesday, saying it will drop the plan.“If an accommodation has not been reviewed or approved by December 8, the Employee will continue to work, while following all COVID mask and distancing guidelines applicable to their position, until the accommodation has been processed,” said Southwest in a statement.
The company stressed it will approve “all valid requests” for religious or medical accommodations.

Thousands of California parents, students, and teachers on Monday participated in a statewide walkout to protest Gov. Gavin Newsom’s decision to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for all students in both public and private schools.
Newsom, a Democrat, earlier this month announced the vaccine mandate for schoolchildren in grades 7 through 12 once the vaccines have received full approval by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), making California the first state to implement such requirements.
So far, the FDA has only granted emergency authorization for anyone aged 12 to 15. Newsom’s latest vaccine requirement is expected to take effect in January 2022 or the start of the 2022 school year.

Procter & Gamble Co. said it will raise prices on a number of household staple goods as the cost for raw materials and freight has increased faster than it had anticipated.
The company, which makes a range of products including Tide and Charmin, said it would begin to charge more for oral care, beauty, and razors. Earlier this year, Procter & Gamble said it would charge more for toilet paper and diapers.
The new price hikes are not being implemented on all its products, but they will be marked for specific items such as razors and in some sub-categories, CFO Andre Schulten told Reuters. U.S. retailers are aware of the new

A new investigative report by the Financial Times asserted that China launched a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile, which circled the earth in a low orbit before cruising toward and narrowly missing a test target. The Chinese regime has officially denied the report’s findings, saying that the object in question was a spaceship.
U.S. disarmament ambassador Robert Wood said that Washington is concerned about China’s possible deployment of hypersonic weaponry, and said the United States hadn’t developed a means of countering it.
“Hypersonic technology is something that we have been concerned about, the potential military applications of it and we have held back from pursuing, we had held back from pursuing military applications for

With all of the Biden-created crises worsening by the day, the president’s radical agenda stalled in Congress, and more daunting problems coming on the radar with no end in sight, Americans are facing a crisis of confidence not felt since the depressing days of stagflation and the Iranian hostage crisis during the administration of President Jimmy Carter in 1979 and 1980. (Snip) get ready for Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci to shock America. In order to stop the economic hemorrhaging and sagging poll numbers, Biden could announce we have achieved herd immunity in the fight against COVID-19 – whether it’s true or not.

Dozens of immigration activists allegedly walked out of a virtual meeting with Biden administration officials on Saturday morning in protest over the White House’s plan to restart the Trump era “Remain in Mexico” program, Politico reports.
The advocates read a statement accusing the administration of “playing politics with human lives” ahead of a virtual meeting with multiple officials, including people from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the White House Domestic Policy Council’s Esther Olavarria.
(snip)Top immigration enforcement officials in President Joe Biden’s administration said late Thursday they’re prepared to restart the border policies enacted during the Trump administration in November, provided that Mexico agrees to cooperate.

The central statistic in this whistleblower story is important. In a community with a 50% vaccination rate, 90% of the hospital admissions were vaccinated patients, and most of the critical care hospital intakes were within 14 days of the patient taking the vaccine. An alarmed physicians assistant began reporting those issues into the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting system until the hospital administration stepped in to stop her from recording the frequency. She felt obligated to become a whistleblower: “Deborah Conrad, a hospitalist physicians assistant on the frontlines of the pandemic, pulls back the curtain on the complete lack and disregard in her hospital for
