Security personnel at the U.S. Department of the Interior sustained “multiple injuries,” according to spokeswoman Melissa Schwartz in the Washington Post, after left-wing protesters held the agency headquarters under siege on Thursday. Fifty-five protesters were arrested in the turmoil, the demonstration group People vs. Fossil Fuels said in a statement to the Post, concluding five days of activism in the nation’s capital by a coalition known as Build Back Fossil Free.

Comments:

Say what you want about Liz Cheney, she's a shrewd politician, and this is an amazing opportunity for her. If she plays this right, turning the tables on Pelosi and pushing hard for an investigation, she might be able to save her career. She may be too damaged to even try it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Contrast a mere 55 Interior Department protesters arrested with the DOJ massive overreactions regarding January 6: "As of [October 16] Wednesday, 45 alleged Capitol rioters are being held at the DC jail while their cases are pending; of nearly 640 people charged to date, approximately 70 have been ordered to stay in pretrial detention after judges determined they posed a danger to the community or a flight risk. Defense attorneys have alerted judges to problems they’ve encountered trying to arrange meetings with their clients or to have defendants review evidence; they’ve also alleged mistreatment by jail staff, unsanitary conditions, and an overuse of solitary confinement." https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetillman/jail-conditions-jan-6 defendants

The people who are protesting and promoting their green weenie way of life have no jobs and no need to buy gasoline to move about so they do not see the need for fossil fuels or any kind of fuel. They are paid by US taxpayers to live parasitic lives and have 24 hours a day to voice their discontent. In other words, they are the kind of people that the far left democrats are trying to cultivate. Nothing will be done and those arrested will be out of jail before they feel the need to change their underwear.

RE: the 55 arrested during the InteriorDept "Insurrection" vs the 650(45 still in custody) arrested from Jan 6th. How many were actually arrested on Jan 6th? Nearly none, because what they were actually doing at the time was NOT very violent or destructive..nearly all were traced/tracked down, nationwide, at great expense to be charged with mere trespassing into "The Peoples House". Biden and all of his cabinet, AOC's and all of her Brain Trust, Bernie and all of his, need to be subpoenaed though...because CLEARLY they incited this, they even adopted his "Build back..." trademarked mantra and incorporated it into their actions.

Joe Biden’s Vaccine Mandate Doesn’t

Yes, we’ve heard all about Joe Biden’s alleged vaccine mandate for private companies employing 100 or more people. It was all over the news even before he announced it on September 9. His announcement has jeopardized the employment of millions of Americans and increased worker shortages in critical domains such as health care. There’s only one problem. It’s all a mirage. Biden’s so-called vaccine mandate doesn’t exist — at least, not yet. So far, all we have is his press conference and other such made-for-media huff-puffing.

All cultures are important and valuable, but it is a facile mistake to think all cultures are equal. They are not. Cultures are not equal in terms of values, rights, ethics, morality, achievements, advancements, nor any other comparative feature. This isn’t good or bad, it isn’t a celebration or indictment, it’s just a basic observation. In the 15th century, among other differences European culture had developed different philosophies and military armaments than their western-hemisphere counterparts.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Friday suggested that his decision to move the automaker's headquarters from Fremont, California, to Austin, Texas, was inspired by a Democratic assemblywoman who tweeted, "---k Elon Musk," in 2020. Musk made the announcement Thursday during a shareholder meeting, citing affordability, space and convenience as some of the reasons behind the move, adding that Tesla will also continue to expand in California. On Friday, the billionaire engineer responded to an article from Tesla news website Tesmanian.com titled, "Tesla Moved its HQ to Texas Following Explicit Offer from California Assemblywoman," saying, "Exactly."

One of the most remarkable twists in the pandemic is that a handful of NBA players have emerged as the most cogent and principled defenders of liberty, common sense, and basic civic decency in America. It’s a bit unexpected. In recent years, the NBA has most often landed in the political news cycle thanks to LeBron James’ disgusting habit of bowing and scraping before the Chinese Communist Party, or Steve Kerr’s refusal to breathe a word about the suppression of protests in Hong Kong or the oppression of Uighur Muslims while lecturing everyone on the evils of systemic racism and gun ownership in America.

Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) said died while trying to flee Afghanistan, including a three-year-old girl, a two-year-old boy, and the boy’s mother. During an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday over the weekend, Mullin attributed the deaths to President Joe Biden’s U.S. withdrawal, described as “fatally flawed” even by members of his party. Mullin, who has helped his team on the ground in Afghanistan evacuate U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPRs), stressed that the State Department is aware of the identities of the deceased but refuses to report them to the public.

A new Supreme Court brings new hope to reeling in unchecked federal power. For the last few decades, the Supreme Court has allowed Congress to delegate unchecked power to unelected agency officials, who are mainly part of the executive branch. The executive branch has thus legislated through unelected officials and latched onto powers not granted to them via the Constitution. The most recent example is President Joe Biden’s mandate that large employers require their workers to be vaccinated or test for the virus weekly.

Nearly a year has passed since the 2020 election, yet there has not been a clear, satisfactory answer to the central mystery: How did a dull, declining Joe Biden manage to get more than 81 million votes and win the presidency? After all, Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced campaign in his Delaware basement and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he had lost more than a step. Yet he flipped five states Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, including Georgia and Arizona, and racked up 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.
