A statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee that was taken down by Dallas city officials four years ago has resurfaced—at a private Texas resort. The massive bronze statue, which shows Lee on horseback with another mounted soldier, was removed by the city in 2017 amid the controversy following racial violence that erupted in Charlottesville, Va., earlier that year over the planned removal of another Lee monument. In 2019, the Dallas statue was sold at an online auction for $1.44 million to the city-based law firm Holmes Firm PC—and is now on display at the 27,000-acre Lajitas Golf Resort in predominantly white Terlingua, Texas.

The BLM spokesmouth disapproves, of course. First they said these monuments don't belong in the public square, but instead should be on private property or in museums. The real problem for the Marxists is that anyone who opposed central government overreach is an obstacle to what comes next, and certainly should be erased from memory.

I hope they have decent security. Lefty vandals could slip in to trash it. The left says ‘museums and private property’ but what they want is for the statues to be melted down and destroyed.

For decades Phil Collins has been accumulating a huge collection of memorabilia from the legendary siege of the Alamo. Now the 70-year-old Genesis frontman's hoard of weapons, clothing, letters and other artefacts are at the centre of another battle—a very modern one about race. Critics argue the collection helps perpetuate a narrative that focuses only on the battle's white leaders and ignores Latinos, Native Americans and black figures.(Snip)In 2014, Collins gave the 430-piece collection–worth up to £10million–to Texas. His only proviso was that, by 2021, the state create a museum at the Alamo–a 300-year-old fortified mission in San Antonio

Planeloads of underage migrants are being flown secretly into suburban New York in an effort by President Biden’s administration to quietly resettle them across the region, The Post has learned. The charter flights originate in Texas, where the ongoing border crisis has overwhelmed local immigration officials, and have been underway since at least August, according to sources familiar with the matter. Last week, The Post saw two planes land at the Westchester County Airport, where most of the passengers who got off appeared to be children and teens, with a small portion appearing to be men in their 20s. Westchester County cops stood by as the passengers—whose flights arrived

Nearly a year has passed since the 2020 election, yet there has not been a clear, satisfactory answer to the central mystery: How did a dull, declining Joe Biden manage to get more than 81 million votes and win the presidency? After all, Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced campaign in his Delaware basement and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he had lost more than a step. Yet he flipped five states Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, including Georgia and Arizona, and racked up 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.
