Shoppers frustrated by national product shortages took to social media Thursday to lay the blame squarely at the feet of President Joe Biden, taunting him with the hashtag #EmptyShelvesJoe across social media.Twitter users chose empty shelves at stores around the country to illustrate their anger as the nation’s supply chain crisis continued and the outlook towards Christmas looked increasingly grim.Biden on Wednesday acknowledged the concerns, posing the question: “With the holidays coming up, you might be wondering if gifts you plan to buy will arrive on time?”Shoppers answered for themselves in the most brutal way possible.“Just went food shopping…again…thanks #EmptyShelvesJoe

Aside from the major ticket items not getting from the docks to stores because of a lack of emission qualified trucks on the West Coast I'm seeing some small but significant shortages as well. One that really struck me was that most of the diet sodas that had converted from aspertame sweetner to sucrolose (Splenda) are now back using aspertame. Coke Zero (Spelenda) is now Coke Zero Sugar (aspertame). If you know something about aspertame it interferes with glutemate reuptake in the brain which can slow or damage neurons. I don't know if this was just a cost or supply chain problem or if there is something even more sinister at work here. You really have to look to still find sucrolose diet sodas these days.

The silver lining in all of this is that the Independent voters realize the incompetence of the Biden administration.

Lake Tahoe’s water levels have dropped about half-an-inch below its natural rim as experts warn that another dry winter could put the body of water at risk of becoming ‘terminal’ - meaning the lake will no longer be able to supply its only outflow, experts say.The severe drought conditions across California and the Sierra Nevada mountains have taken their toll on the lake.Water is no longer flowing from the lake into the Truckee River and salmon are unlikely to spawn in a major tributary this year, according to the Los Angeles Times

Comedian Jon Stewart said the media's hyper-focus on former President Donald Trump is a mistake and that casting him as an "incredible supervillain" distracts from other threats. The former "Daily Show" host told CNN's Jake Tapper in an interview airing Sunday that political pundits are "making a mistake" blaming Trump for the country's divisive discourse, arguing they should turn their focus to the threat posed by much larger institutions that have dangerously embraced "the idea that power is its own reward.""I think we make a mistake focusing this all on Donald Trump, as if he's … Magneto and some incredible supervillain

Beijing has mocked America by saying their secret test of a 21,000mph nuclear-capable missile, which orbited the globe before returning to Earth to strike its target, is a 'new blow to the US's mentality of strategic superiority over China'. The jibe follows a report from the Financial Times, which cited five unnamed intelligence sources, said the Chinese military launched the Long March rocket in August carrying a 'hypersonic glide vehicle' into low orbit. It circled the globe before descending towards its target, which is missed by about two dozen miles, in a technological development that would overcome US anti-ballistic missile systems.

Nearly a year has passed since the 2020 election, yet there has not been a clear, satisfactory answer to the central mystery: How did a dull, declining Joe Biden manage to get more than 81 million votes and win the presidency? After all, Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced campaign in his Delaware basement and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he had lost more than a step. Yet he flipped five states Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, including Georgia and Arizona, and racked up 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.

The Art Institute of Chicago fired all of its roughly 100 volunteer museum guides, or docents, in September because too many of them were wealthy, white women.
