NASA’s Lucy mission that launched at 5:34 a.m. Saturday from Kennedy Space Center will give the science community its first look at untouched asteroids and will deepen an understanding of how our solar system was formed.Over the next 12 years, Lucy will fly by the seven Trojan asteroids believed to be the only remaining original matter that formed giant planets.“What we are looking for is a view back in time to the earliest days of when the solar system was put together,” said Daniel Britt, University of Central Florida physics professor and part of NASA’s Lucy mission science team. “It gives us a better idea of how solar systems are

What if the information you find doesn't fit your narrative? Where does the Earth get its gravity? What keeps the planets from falling? If the planets fell, where would they fall to? Will you speculate (assume) about facts you are unsure of?

what is there to be newly discovered by this expedition? it's all in the Bible, don't you scientists understand that all questions that are being asked are answered in the Bible -all of them!!- not the Koran or some other printed basically sacrilegious text(s) claiming to have the answers that we already have, all we have to do is open our Bibles and with every word the answers are revealed. just ask Pastor Charles Stanley or Pastor John Hagee.

Outrageous claims of value to receive funding for the project. "Trojan asteroids believed to be the only remaining original matter that formed giant planets." If they are talking Universe-wide, this is a blatant lie. Even Galaxy-wide is unproveable as well as unbelievable. Is this what science has become? What about their Muslim Outreach mission?

The "solar nebula" hypothesis (not "theory," please!) that the planets agglomerated out of "space dust and rocks" has been so thoroughly debunked, nobody in the relevant field of study espouses it, (see, e.g., https://www.nature.com/articles/511022a) but along comes NASA to spend taxpayer money on a useless endeavor. The fact that NASA is naming this fiasco after another thoroughly debunked artifact of Darwinian evolution, viz., "Lucy" is just symbolic of its thoroughly outmoded and unscientific, "the universe is billions and billions of years old" thinking. Meanwhile NASA can't figure out how to put together a rocket capable of launching a lunar mission but China sends a nuclear capable hypersonic missile around the globe and our "scientists" are stunned!

#9 - Yes, the Lucy spacecraft is - indirectly - named for the song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." She is named for Lucy the Australopithecus, who was named for the song. Just as Lucy the Australopithecus has helped Mankind learn the origins of Mankind, it is hoped that the Lucy spacecraft will help us learn the origins of the solar system. Lucy the spacecraft was launched on an Atlas V (named for the Titan who holds up the sky), and accelerated into her course by a Centaur (named for those half-horse, half-humans you meet all the time). Using a gravity assist flyby of Earth (named for dirt), she will gain velocity enough to visit one main belt asteroid, 52246 Donaldjohanson, named for one of the discoverers of Lucy the Australopithecus, then fall back to Earth for another gravity assist, and head for the Lagrange point (named for Joseph-Louis Lagrange, not the ZZ Top song) in front of Jupiter (named for The King of The Gods). There she will visit four Trojan (named for opponents of the Greeks) asteroids. Afterwards, using yet another Earthly assist, Lucy will visit Jupiter's trailing Lagrange point and three more Trojan asteroids. After completing these main missions, she will be in a stable orbit and may revisit the leading Trojan group.

We all know the border is a mess. Our own Julio Rosas has been to the southern border multiple times to document the chaos. The Biden administration swore the adults were back, and that competency would return. Neither has happened. The adults are idiots, and this has to be one of the most incompetent administrations since Jimmy Carter. Everyone told Biden that rescinding Trump immigration policies too quickly would cause a crisis. He refused to listen because Biden has an ego the size of Delaware. Where he got that is a mystery since the man has accomplished little and is mostly known as a moron in most circles.

As a U.S. Senator, Joe Biden was known as a political moderate. When he ran for president in 2020, he portrayed himself as the Democrats' middle-of-the-road candidate -- a man who could work with both sides of the aisle and unite Americans of all political persuasions. However, when being a moderate wasn't helping his chances of winning the nomination, candidate Biden quickly switched horses in midstream, adopting the far-left platform of socialist Bernie Sanders. This move won him the Democrats' nomination and made him beholden to the radical left-wing of the Democrat Party. It also called into question Biden's judgment,
