As cargo ships congested at U.S. ports, creating an unprecedented supply-chain crisis, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was on paid leave to spend time with his husband, Chasten, and their two newborn babies.
After weeks of people questioning Buttigieg’s whereabouts as crisis after crisis mounted, Politico’s West Wing Playbook confirmed on Thursday that the transportation secretary was “lying low.”
“They didn’t previously announce it, but Buttigieg’s office told West Wing Playbook that the secretary has actually been on paid leave since mid-August to spend time with his husband, Chasten, and their two newborn babies,” Playbook reported.
Which one is the birth mother?
Mrs. Buttplug got this job because it is a deviant. No one would even know who this little freak is if it weren't for his sexual proclivities. But for its preferences, it would be nothing but another failed commie who ran its city / county / state into the ground.

Really crummy optics but considering the performance of the entire 'administration' it doesn't make a bit of difference in the results.

I find myself in a bit of a quandary. I can’t decide whether it’s a bad thing that the guy who is supposed to be in charge is missing in action or a good thing to keep a total incompetent as far away from the reins of power as possible. Either way the outcome is pretty much the same I guess.

Joke #1–his “husband”?
Joke #2-which end of the two did the babies come out of?
Joke#3-transportation secretary?????
These are certainly not “funny jokes”

Paid leave since August. This is October, already. How much time does he need to recover from having a baby? Since Chasten is the husband, I assume it was pete who produced the child. Our transportation system is completely collapsing, and he is hiding out on paid leave, because his only qualification for the position is that he is gay.

Like his brethren demonrats sucking off the freebees, Butt Boy is milking that paternity leave for all its worth.

This administration is more concerned with PC 'firsts" then they are with results.

Holy mother of God. If Baby Jesus is planning a return visit, he had better push it up.

Paid paternity leave? For two months? In what private company would that ever be an option? If ordinary tax-paying Americans are unable or unwilling to recognize that there are two Americas where rules apply differently to illegals and federal employees (is that redundant?), there’s no hope of recovery.

Wow... two months off for miraculously pushing those two brats out of his magic backside. That must have been painful.

Paid leave may be wonderful for the person using it, but it causes problems in the workplace. The person's work has to be covered by someone during their absence. Temp workers are a crap shoot - some are good and some know nothing. When the person returns they sometimes give 2-weeks notice - deciding they prefer to stay home after all.

I have only one thing to say about his “family leave”—it disgusting! But aside from that, these unqualified people are put into important positions. They haven’t a clue as to what’s involved. Mrs. Pete must think that the situation with the supply chain will resolve itself. Well, Mrs. Pete, you should be fired and then you can spend your entire time with your family and let Chasten go out to earn a living to support you and the babies while you stay home to care for them and cook and clean. Being a Cabinet member is not some kind of lark where you can get all the perks and bask in the glory of being in the administration. Do the decent thing and resign, you fathead.

I seem to recall when Alaska Gov.Sarah Palin gave birth to her last child, she was back to work in just a couple of days. And she actually delivered the baby, unlike the Buttplug parents.

Oh, wow. They bought two babies at one time? Was there a government discount? And, in the REAL world, when someone goes on parental leave they--and their employer--make sure their responsibilities are covered.
