Chicago - About 30 minutes after a judge granted a temporary restraining order that prohibits the Fraternal Order of Police president to speak about the vaccine mandate, John Catanzara took to social media to deliver a message. "The judge granted the temporary restraining order so until Monday's follow-up hearing, I will not be able to speak anymore on the policy, any way, shape or form in either way."(Snip)He then holds up a sign that says, "John Catanzara for Mayor 2023."

How is this NOT a blatant First Amendment violation? Even the most fascist lawyer could not twist this to make even a little sense. I've said it a million times and its still true. This isn't America anymore.

Well if Cantazara is now a candidate for mayor I doubt any legitimate court would keep him from speaking out on issues of the day. Doubtful anyone but a Chicago political hack would would uphold this judges ruling anyway. Employess have a right to discuss working conditions among themselves under federal law and this is certainly a working condition.

The head of the FOP isn't allowed to communicate with his members via social media regarding issues that directly effect them? NLRB should be all over this (but won't). Maybe every police officer themselves should take to social media about this. Little dictator Mayor Lori Lightfoot is getting out of control.

I find this funny. So the judge says he can't say anything about his stance on the mandatory vaccine rule. So he stands in front of the press and says "I've been ordered not to say anything about my stance on the mandatory vaccine order." Meets the rules and defeats the order, wot?

And who will arrest him Judge? Do you have a personal army at your disposal? If not, stand down and shut up! Freedom of speech still exists. Judges are out of control. Judicial and prosecutorial reform have been necessary everywhere for a long time. Judges and prosecutors need to be held accountable. No more blanket immunity for their stupidity, incompetence, and down right criminality!

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7, which represents the Chicago PD, is the largest FOP lodge in the country. They wield no small amount of power. Mayor Lighthead would do well do get on their side - but she can’t, because she’s a moron.
