Voters, according to multiple polls, are repelled by the Democrats' $3.5 trillion "reconciliation" spending plan, the largest government spending bill in human history. Rasmussen found that 53% of likely voters are against it, including 41% who are dead-set against it. I&I/TIPP found that 51% of independent voters wanted nothing to do with it. Pew found that less than half of voters wanted the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, while the centrist Washington policy group No Labels found that 60% of voters agreed with Sen. Joe Manchin on the need for a "strategic pause" to consider the implications of this much porkulus. NBC News delicately reported that the bill represents "some risks"

In the DEM world, the so-called "free press" are meant to sell DEM ideas, not question them or just report on them. Sounds like Soviet totalitarianism.

It does not matter what the public believes, as Pelosi and the leftist, liberal, and socialist Democrats believe that they know what is best for the public, and will pass as many of their big governments bills as they can get away with.

Is there anything Democrats can't do ... to kill off America's innovators and entrepreneurs? Sure as heck not, given their latest sneaky plan to discourage small -- and I mean really small -- business. According to Jessica Pate, writing at Issues & Insights: The INFORM Consumers act would impose new requirements and burdens on the millions of people who run small businesses. Similar bills introduced in more than a dozen state legislatures are generally supported by big-box retailers eager to siphon online money back to their stores. Lawmakers should reject them all.

It's not just nurses, firefighters, cops, military troops, and airline pilots who are getting fired over rigid COVID vaccine mandates. A total of 114 workers at Los Alamos National Laboratory — the birthplace of the atomic bomb — are suing over the mandate,

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who it turns out has been away on family leave these past months as America's supply chain has collapsed, has finally come out of the woodwork. Did he come out to announce how he's making the situation better? Nope, what brought him out was some harsh, criticism by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who asked if Missing Pete on family leave was trying to learn how to breast-feed. Yes, it was tasteless, but that's hardly a burning issue to anyone else but Pete, given his larger and more important point. According to Mediaite, the exchange went like this:

We’ve written before about the madness in the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), most recently when it comes to parents protesting LGBTQ pornography in the school system’s libraries. There’ve also been newsworthy moments when parents spoke out about Critical Race Theory in the school district. One of the most explosive moments occurred when the school board, tired of having angry parents (i.e., voters) yell at them, called the cops, with several arrests, including that of one man getting physically dragged out. It now turns out that the man was protesting the fact that the school’s policies led to a boy in a skirt sexually assaulting his daughter

Is there any level of phoniness Kamala Harris can't demonstrate? Back when Joe Biden had disappeared during Afghanistan's collapse and was refusing to take phone calls from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Harris had a golden opportunity to step in and show leadership. But she had better things to do. What was she doing as Joe Biden went AWOL? Cocooning into her comfort zone, which was engaging in selfies and public relations. Call it her 'My Pet Goat' moment, except that it wasn't by accident. While Afghanistan was collapsing into terror and Americans were trapped behind enemy lines in chaos, she was busy making at least three space videos

As Joe Biden's public approval tanks in the polls, his sidekick Kamala Harris is also looking pretty wretched. She underwent 'repackaging' from swamp consultants who specialize in "crisis messaging," to very miserable results as she posed for videos with kids, coming off phonier than ever. And more important, she may have been frozen out of all serious decision-making as an obviously giggling lightweight. Nearly a year has passed since the 2020 election, yet there has not been a clear, satisfactory answer to the central mystery: How did a dull, declining Joe Biden manage to get more than 81 million votes and win the presidency? After all, Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced campaign in his Delaware basement and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he had lost more than a step. Yet he flipped five states Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, including Georgia and Arizona, and racked up 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.

The Art Institute of Chicago fired all of its roughly 100 volunteer museum guides, or docents, in September because too many of them were wealthy, white women. The news of the mass firing has only trickled out slowly, partly because the institute asked docents not to speak to the media, and because the left-leaning Chicago media showed little interest in covering the issue.(Snip)Ironically, the Journal was able to speak to one of the fired docents, who happened to be black, and defied the museum’s request that no one speak directly to the media—perhaps because she had less fear of being accused of racism.
