The annual Columbus Day Parade returned to New York City on Monday after being canceled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.Marching bands and floats traveled up Fifth Avenue as spectators waved green, white and red Italian flags as a crowd of 35,000 turned out to celebrate.
Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Bill de Blasio, both Democrats, attended New York City's parade but received very different receptions.De Blasio, who will leave office at the end of this year due to term limits, was booed and cursed at as he walked down Manhattan's Fifth Avenue in the parade.

They can "Boo" their heads off, but they'll keep voting "D". Guaranteed.

Well, if you want to destroy America and everything it stands for, of course you would take out Columbus. . .

How does a Commie Mayor get to change a national holiday? A real administration in Washington would be on the phone to Big Bird within minutes of such an announcement. The man who discovered America is more important than the loony leftist garbage that wants to change it.

As I have often said, there is no such thing as an indigenous person in the North Americans continent. Everyone migrated from elsewhere. I am as much an indigenous person as Geronimo.

Sure let's celebrate the various cultures that inhabited this land for thousands of years with absolutely no progress to show for it. I suspect that if Columbus hadn't come along, all of these tribes would still be like the tribes people occasionally come across in the Amazon jungle. The tribes waving wooden spears and shooting arrows at the bird with six wings hovering over them.

Christopher Columbus was a great man whose discovery allowed the values of Western Civilization to spread and dominate the globe. God bless Christopher Columbus.

In the Daily Mail article, Cardinal Timothy Dolan describes NYC Mayor Bill “Wilheim” DiBlasio as being a fine man. This is the same Cardinal Dolan, who has no problem hob-nobbing with the Rev. Al Sharpton, a long-time racial arsonist and indefatigable defender of the Tawana Bradley hoax.
I have heard that Cardinal Dolan enjoys dining at the finest restaurants in NYC. Apparently, his eminence is a big fan of “La Dolce Vita” (“the sweet life”). The man impresses me as being a big phony.

These people (revisionists) think they can change things by changing names. They're still going to "celebrate" this non-holiday on the same day as Columbus Day. It's like when they changed BC and AD to BCE and CE. My sister was horrified, said they were eliminating Christ. But every time they write the date, they are admitting that He existed.

Unless the mayor agrees to sell Manhattan back to the original Native American tribe, the Lenapi, from which it was purchased for $24 in glass beads and a few the gesture of cancelling Columbus Day is beyond hollow.

If the descendants of "indigenous people" want their own day --- go get one! Don't steal my heritage.
If they are allowed to kill off Columbus then brace yourself for "Birthing People Day" taking over "Mother's Day" and "Return of the Sun" replacing "Christmas".
