Taliban say US has agreed to provide AID
to Afghanistan during talks in Doha

The U.S. has agreed to provide humanitarian aid to a desperately poor Afghanistan on the brink of an economic disaster, while refusing to give political recognition to the country's new Taliban rulers, the Taliban said Sunday. The statement came at the end of the first direct talks between the former foes since the chaotic withdrawal of U.S. troops at the end of August. There was no immediate comment from the U.S. on the weekend meeting. The Taliban said the talks held in Doha, Qatar, 'went well,' with Washington freeing up humanitarian aid to Afghanistan after agreeing not to link such assistance to formal recognition of the Taliban.

Why not. Just remember, 10% for the Big Guy.

The bill for Afghanistan will never end... We've handed out money to the Taliban (and others) before to keep them from shooting at us. As the esteemed Gen. Petraeus said, “Employ money as a weapons system. Money can be ‘ammunition.’” Pallets of cash made their way into Afghanistan; suitcases of cash made it out. See, it's not "tribute", so we're okay with it.

For now, he said, “mass worksite operations” must cease. “The deployment of mass worksite operations, sometimes resulting in the simultaneous arrest of hundreds of workers, was not focused on the most pernicious aspect of our country’s unauthorized employment challenge: exploitative employers,”
