The Pentagon’s former software chief said he quit because China has already won the tech war guaranteeing global dominance—with some US government systems mere “kindergarten level” in comparison. Nicolas Chaillan, 37, told the Financial Times on Sunday that there is “good reason to be angry” at the US failing to rise to China’s cyber threat, even fearing that it puts his children’s future at risk.
“We have no competing fighting chance against China in 15 to 20 years. Right now, it’s already a done deal; it is already over, in my opinion,” Nicolas Chaillan, 37, told the paper. Chaillan—who was the Pentagon’s first chief software officer—said China will dominate

Can't imagine why.
Maybe it's because China teaches all its children MATH.
We allow our children to come up with any answer then give them a passing grade for participating.

Why did he leave? Why didn’t he stay and work on getting it up to snuff?

Read this man’s page/bio/CV at LinkedIn and tell us what you think. Boy genius at 14, when he started his own company. Very strong opinion of himself. I am not a techie so cannot evaluate him and his opinions, but he likes talking about himself and his achievements.

Was it his bad attitude about us being behind that made us and keeps us behind, or is it the current US government insistence on diversity and equity resulting in inferior programmers/programming and catching up and surpassing the Chinese? If we wanted to catch up we could. It is our own weak PC defeatist attitude and snowflakes who make Chinese supremacy possible.

I doubt Lloyd Austin could even turn on a computer, let alone figure out a cyber strategy.

Implicit message: In order to survive, we need to be more like China. Something about this news feels vaguely inauthentic. Or at least heavily spun.

I think the man's concerns are legitimate. As far back as Clinton, our government has conceded to the Chinese the upper hand in computer technology. Is it too late to fight back? That's what the guy is suggesting; and I don't see anything our present illegitimate administration is doing about it--the opposite, as a matter of fact. In terms of our readiness to confront the Chinese in technology or outright war, the USA is headed for the toilet.

Does this surprise anyone? What we didn’t outright give them cyber-wise, they stole under our noses. And we keep letting them into our universities and hiring them to work at our national security labs. We’re even giving them the DNA of our citizens for them to develop effective bio weapons.

So his attitude is why fight they've already won. With a let's surrender attitude like that he should resign. Where have all the good men gone? There doesn't seem to be any alpha males in this Administration. If there are, they are thrown into the brig.

BS. It is NOT "a done deal" unless we just stop.
Now Traitor Joe would be happy, along with other traitors, like Medals Milley, to just give up.
But it doesn't have to be that way, if we can get the traitors out of our leadership positions.

Whether you believe you'll win, or you'll lose, you're probably right. Luckily, he resigned because he's defeatist. Let us hope the next person in believes we can catch and surpass the Chinese, and will fight tooth and nail for the required resources.

Yep. We have been educating Chinese students in the U.S. for decades. I have been convinced since the early 90s that no Chinese student comes to the U.S. for an education without the explicit knowledge of the CCP. They send their best and brightest, we educate them in everything that is cutting edge in theoretical or practical sciences, engineering, and technology, then send them back to the CCP where they mine them.

Perhaps so, but the commitment of Transformed America to LGBTQ+ rights, diversity and inclusion of everyone but WHITE Christians, equity for illegal aliens, green energy, and mandatory vaccinations makes us the envy of the world.
