And much like the left push a second national anthem on America in the form of the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which is often referred to as the black national anthem, Biden issued two proclamations Friday.“Our country was conceived on a promise of equality and opportunity for all people — a promise that, despite

The 25% of me that’s “indigenous”, wishes everyone a Happy Columbus Day! From what I understand, most of that culture sucked, especially the human sacrifices. I’m glad the Western Europeans put an end to that.
The rest of me wishes everyone a Happy Columbus Day as well.

It's Columbus Day, and what an interesting biography of his character and career. Columbus extended the known world by sailing along the African Coast, then heading into the unkown. Everyone else was afraid to do it, or could not raise the ships and crew. Columbus discovered America, and that brought our ancestors here that built this great nation from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, the greatest nation on earth, founded by our forefathers, unsurpassed in their knowledge of history, the the building of a constitutional republic. There has been no other in history like George Washington, the man with all the power, who returned it all to the people. It's Columbus Day. It cannot be named anything else, because it is his day, and nobody else's.

And why was Columbus sailing west from Europe? Because the land caravans along the Silk Road were being raided by the Mohamedens

Elections have consequences -- especially stolen ones!!!!! And the very quick and ominous destruction of our nation is the major consequence of not-my-president Lyin' Joe biden wasting oxygen!!!

Both my wife and my family go back to the Revolutionary War, so not impressed with the whole Indian deal. Stone age tribes, anywhere will be run over by modern people. It's just join or die. They had stagnant, failed societies, never got out of the stone age.
Columbus was a great explorer, and the lefty revisionists whining doesn't change history.

If not for Columbus "discovering" the new world, we'd all be walking to work today industriously chipping them rocks into clovis points.

Recent archaeological discoveries have shown that European ancestors arrived in the New World via an ice bridge to Europe that only existed 25,000 years ago. The forbears of the Indians came by way of the Bering Straits on a path that only opened up 14,500 years ago.
The Indians are interlopers and conquerors.
Sorry.

In our family, it will always be Columbus Day just as the Washington football team will always be the Redskins.
41 years ago, on Columbus Day, my husband asked me to marry him, so we celebrate 2 events every year.
FJB
