America's everything shortage: Supply

A series of supply chain bottlenecks has created a monumental shortage of goods across America, with shelves in pharmacies, department stores, grocery stores and more sitting empty while cargo ships, freight trains and trucks struggle to distribute goods quickly enough to keep up with demand. The shortage is not down to a lack of goods - they have been produced. But backlogs at shipping yards and rail yards across the country, combined with a lack of workers means the items aren't being offloaded quickly enough and distributed across stores. Dozens of cargo ships are waiting to dock in California and further up the West Coast,

Especially stolen elections, # 1. They have no one to answer to. If they want a war, having a country run out of food, when it's sitting at docks waiting to be unloaded is the best way to go.

The grocery shelves remind me of photos from communist country stores. I still can find fresh produce, dairy, meats, coffee and TP, so I am good so far. Prices are higher and some brands I like are in short supply. No one is going hungry yet, so I haven’t pushed the panic button so far. My backup plan is communal living.

The backlog of ships seem to be in California and the New York area. The southern ports are humming right along. So I'm more inclined to question the policies in those states.

The selection was same as usual, including the deli, for meats and cheese and the price was about usual. President Joe Biden's approval rating is 10 points behind President Barack Obama's at this point in Obama's presidency, as Biden's numbers have been battered by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, among other issues. The Real Clear Politics polling average for Obama on October, 11 2009 stood at 53 per cent approval and 40 per cent disapproval, while Biden currently stands at 43 per cent approval and 52.3 per cent disapproval. A new Axios/Ipsos poll released Tuesday found that Americans are getting more pessimistic about the pandemic, and losing trust in Biden at the same time.
