The Media Are Really Upset at the Fox
News 25th Anniversary

There’s no need to wonder how poorly the press is reacting to Fox News turning 25 — they are telling us.In 1996, a true upstart news channel made its debut. Outside of those in the media biosphere, there was not much fanfare, largely because FoxNews had not established all of the carriage agreements with cable providers. Something that would take years to establish held the network back from being a true contender in the ratings but gradually, the network became more entrenched, and then the established news outlets began to realize they had a contender to deal with as true competition.

Why? Except for a couple hosts, FOX is just a much a player in the Big Lie as any of them. See FOX on Election Night, calling AZ for Joseph Stealin before the polls closed.

I have pretty much given up on Fox, not once watching the TV channel since about a month before the last election. Their owners are hard left, and they do a bit of play acting on being an alternative, but where is their reporting on India clearing COVID from a state with 240 million people in 60 days with ivermectin? Where is their coverage of ivermectin allowing Japan to drop all restrictions on people in 6 weeks? Where is their coverage of Sweden blocking the mRNA shot for those under 30? Where is their coverage of Denmark doing the same for those under 18 (IIRC)? Sorry, Fox is a pretend 'conservative' station, with a touch of minor conservatism here and there, but mostly toeing the leftist line on all this stuff. Without Tucker Carlson, which I gather from things posted here is still doing some useful work, they'd be nothing much.

The suits at FOX NEWS had a hand in the deceit on election night in November 2020. Neil Cavuto and Chris Wallace were giddy with happiness. I have not watched FOX for one minute since that night. Once in a great while I might watch a Tucker Carlson re-run on YouTube, but that is it.

Just as the Gulf War cemented CNN in the American scene, the 2000 election did the same for FoxNews.

Based on these comments, the media aren't the only ones upset at the 25th anniversary. Yeah, I turn on Fox and Friends in the morning, and if there are no decent sports on, I'll flip over to Tucker. C'mon man... life goes on.

Unmentioned is...while they focus on the fight to get on air in NY/LA, getting on the air out in the Heartland was even tougher, cable companies didn't want to carry them...locals had to petition to get them added. Even then many cities "monopoly Cable" companies(many owned by Turner, who owned CNN) gave them a high digit channel number, and unless you had a brand new TV in 1996 the machine only had 20-50 options on the dial. It sparked a boom in new TV's sold in certain areas. Along with outreach activities for the Repubs nationwide, those of us working those details made sure to mention Fox News, and encourage people to demand their cable companies make them available in their Basic Cable package..

They used to be on my tv most of the time until they started hiring all these leftist hosts, and then helping with the election steal. Now I tune in to FBN for stock market openings and closings. Now when I watch the news I'm on Newsmax or America's Voice. Both of those spend too much time interviewing talking heads rather than reporting news, but it beats supporting traitors.

We watch Maria Bartiromo, Harris Faulkner, Harris and Kayley McEnaney (sp?) on their program, Larry Kudlow, Tucker, Mark Steyn when he is hosting, ditto Tammy Bruce. Dagen MacDowell wherever she shows up. Mark Levin. Jesse Watters. Gutfeld. Record them and do our own editing when we watch. Amazed Harris is still on air as she daily blasts everything Biden. Very few Dem guests on any programs, and they appear at their own peril

The overriding factor about Donald Trump, from a political standpoint, is the unpredictability that he brings — especially when the odds are stacked against him. While Democrats would like to think that, with two sham impeachments and their furtherance of an “insurrection” narrative that frays at the seams more and more as we learn the details of what actually took place on Jan. 6, they have stymied any remaining political ambitions that Trump may still harbor, the party nonetheless frets over a potential 2024 run. That’s according to a piece from The Hill, which states that Democrats are worried about another White House bid by the former president, who’s

A growing number of Americans are facing the imminent loss of their livelihoods, economic uncertainty, and in some cases financial ruin, not because of mass layoffs prompted by economic recession or the collapse of their industries, but simply because they refuse to get a COVID-19 shot. These workers occupy every corner of the American economy, from health care to entertainment, law enforcement to IT, food service to academia. What unites them is the firm belief that they should not be forced to get a COVID-19 vaccine, whether by the government or their employer, under the threat of losing their job.
