As President Joe Biden continues his attempts to save his faltering multi-trillion dollar spending plan his daughter Ashley was busy doing some spending of her own while enjoying a designer shopping trip in Malibu over the weekend. The 40-year-old First Daughter, who is the only child of Joe, 78, and First Lady Jill, 70, was pictured strolling through upmarket outdoor shopping mall Malibu Country Mart in California on Sunday, where she was seen picking up a few purchases, while spending time with a tattooed male pal. Ashley, who is married to Philadelphia-based surgeon Dr. Howard Klein, put on a chic display during her outing, flaunting very toned arms

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Monday refused to say whether President Biden’s son Hunter had divested his 10% stake in a Chinese equity firm despite the president’s pledge to prohibit family members from engaging in international business dealings. Chinese business records reviewed by Fox News indicate Hunter Biden still holds a 10% stake in Chinese private equity firm Bohai Harvest RST Equity Investment Fund Management Co. through Skaneateles LLC. Hunter Biden is the sole beneficial owner of Skaneateles, according to Washington corporate records.

This year's Saturday Night Live (SNL) season opener was watched by just 3.5 million viewers on Saturday, dropping 35 percent from the previous year. The long-standing Nielsen agency released the data, which was drawn from 44 different areas. It should, however, be noted that this data is imputed and preliminary in nature, and that Nielsen will release the full data on Tuesday. According to the New York Post, the show pulled out all the stops in order to get viewers to tune in. The show was hosted by actor Owen Wilson along with cast member Kenan Thompson.

In remarks from the White House on Monday, an exasperated President Biden addressed the looming October 18 deadline before which Congress must vote to raise the nation's debt ceiling or face defaulting on its debts on the heels of last week's failure to whip enough support among congressional Democrats to move his domestic legislative agenda forward.Failing to raise the debt ceiling is "reckless and dangerous" according to Biden who attempted to explain the situation in layman's terms. Such a vote, Biden claimed, is "paying what we already owe, what has already been acquired" and "not anything new.""We're able to borrow because we always pay what we owe,"

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all remain down in what is now a four-hour-long global outage that experts say was caused by an internal error on Monday morning.
Between 11.50am EST and 11.52am EST, Facebook made a series of updates to its border gateway protocol (BGP) which caused it to 'disappear' from the internet. The BGP allows for the exchange of routing information on the internet and takes people to the websites they want to access. Facebook's changes included withdrawals which removed its properties from the domain naming system it operates and essentially made it impossible for anyone to connect to the sites

The US Supreme Court has returned to in-person arguments on Monday for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.Capitol police have already arrested pro-choice activists protesting outside the court over a challenge to Roe v. The court's nine Justices are returning with a legislative calendar that will test right wing hopes and left wing fears over how the majority-conservative court will fall on politically divisive arguments like abortion rights and gun ownership. All but Justice Brett Kavanaugh have returned to the court's mahogany bench.
