Despite graduating from Boston University cum laude, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is eternally sophomoric, always confident in the wisdom of her views notwithstanding serious limitations to her knowledge base. The word “sophomoric” derives from the tendency of college students with just a bit of education – an introduction to higher learning, but no advanced courses yet -- to presume they know everything. They learn the theories before they learn their limitations. (snip) asked to back up one of her sweeping statements (snip) She seems almost stunned and takes some moments to come up with an excuse for not knowing what she is talking about, finally declaring “I’m not an expert….”

Greenie energy has been vaunted by politicians such as President Obama, Joe Biden, and virtually every European politician in power as progress itself, the way forward, the wave of the future. Anyone who's got problems with it, as Obama smarmily assured, is "stuck in the past."
Turns out that's crap. After going green and shutting down its coal, fossil fuel, fracking, and nuclear energy production, and feeling mighty virtuous for doing it, Europe is now going cold -- freezing cold. The region faces a very bad winter ahead with energy shortages across the board.

“If I catch COVID, there is zero chance I will die.” So I told my father a few weeks ago while discussing the never-ending government restrictions (snip) Then earlier this month I caught the trendy virus. Secretly, I had some angst that somehow karma would hit me and send me to the hospital, mostly dreading the “I told you so” scolding of the vaccine bullies.
But just as I suspected, my sickness was easily managed (snip) when I went to the local COVID testing center to confirm my infection, the snotty man registering symptomatic arrivals asked if I also wanted to get vaccinated

Only 8 months into the Biden presidency, disaster looms for the Democrats, and boy do they deserve every bit of humiliation and voter repudiation that looks to be in prospect (snip) two factors give me a fair degree of confidence that the trend we see now will continue and accelerate:
Biden is not going to get more coherent (snip) With the slimmest of Congressional vote margins, the Dems have committed themselves to a far-reaching transformation demanded by the far left faction of the party that would spell doom for the few remaining non-extremists in the party.

Democrats are strutting because the final Cyber Ninjas audit in Arizona showed that “[t]he auditor’s final hand count—which quadruple-checked every single one of the 2.1 million ballots—matches Maricopa County’s official machine count.” Big whoop. For those complaining about irregularities in the 2020 election, the question was never about miscounting. Instead, it was about the claim that an inordinate number of the ballots in the Joe Biden pile didn’t come from real people. Instead, they were alleged to have been faked—and the audit confirms almost 60,000 wrongfully counted ballots

The science surrounding COVID has been hijacked for political purposes. People recovered from the disease are pushed to get vaccinated, even though they have a natural immunity that is stronger than vaccine immunity. People are required to wear masks even though masks are essentially useless (snip) The “science” of climate change is also BS. That should be easier to accept after seeing what the government did to COVID science. Why do politicians want to hype a nonexistent climate crisis? In a word: power. By claiming that there is an urgent climate crisis the politicians can spend billions

The week of the autumnal equinox in New York City is Gridlock Week because of all the nonstop, non-moving traffic jams caused by the opening of the United Nations General Assembly. (snip) Before Biden got to the ultimate, killer Bidenism, as the master funnyman that he is, he warmed up the world with these choice Bidenisms:
8:21 — ... To finance global health security, that builds on our existing development assistance, and global health tre — es an and and the global health threat kownkill — council, that is armed ...
16:31 — ... But we're not seeking — say it again, we are not seeking a new coal war ...

Maricopa County's failed 2020 election is back in the news. First, an independent canvassing of Arizona's Maricopa County voters revealed a possible 173,000 "lost" ballots and 96,000 "ghost" votes. Add this to the soon-to-be-released Maricopa audit, and — hopefully — the people responsible can be held accountable. Lucky for us, we already know what the adversary's next few moves will be; it's not the first time the Democrats have been caught rigging elections. The Democrats' standard response is denial and misdirection. Denial needs no explanation. As for misdirection, here are an explanation, a demonstration, and a practical exercise in how the game is played.

Upon reading special counsel John Durham’s 27-page indictment of attorney Michael Sussman, I found myself asking, “Is there anything Perkins Coie lawyers would not do to keep their Democratic clients in power?” (snip) The story for today, the one alluded to in the headline, involves a third Perkins Coie attorney, Bob Bauer, and a fourth, Judith Corley.
In 2008, Bauer worked with the Barack Obama campaign and the DNC not so much to “create a narrative” regarding Obama as to sustain the narrative Obama had already created. Beginning with his keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention, Obama repeatedly told the story of his parents’ “improbable love.”

Saturday, Sept. 18 was the date for the “J6 Rally,” organized by a political advocacy group called Look Ahead America. (snip)
Yet the media and the Democrats painted a far more sinister picture. (snip) Anyone with half a brain could see that this was another FBI entrapment scheme, to justify more arrests and more prisoners in solitary confinement awaiting trial for walking benignly through the U.S. Capitol. Social media was full of warnings to stay away from the trap. Even President Trump warned that it was “a setup.”
And as usual, Trump was right. The Daily Mail reported, “Protesters outnumbered by police…as just a handful of demonstrators turn up.”

On Saturday, there was a rally in D.C. to bring attention to the plight of those people arrested on January 6 and still held in solitary confinement in D.C. jails. President Trump warned people in advance that the rally was a no-win situation and he was right. It was poorly attended and it seems that many of those who did appear—perhaps intending to act as provocateurs—were law enforcement agents trying to “blend in with the crowd.” Most importantly, though, this failed rally revealed that non-leftists in America are losing their First Amendment right to protest.

There seems to be a yawning chasm between what is believed by media people and what their viewers/readers/listeners care about when it comes to Covid vaccines. (snip) On September 10, the local Detroit TV station WXYZ used its Facebook page to ask families for stories about unvaccinated loved ones lost to COVID “for a story we’re working on.” Pretty clearly, the expectation was that they could present tragic stories of those foolish people who ignored the wisdom of Joe Biden (and the medical, media, and corporate establishments) and suffered the tragic consequences. But that’s not what they got
